  • I was using analogue meat but will upgrade now thanks

  • +1

    4-7 seconds is not instant

    • None of them are ever really true instant read

Once they get up to temp they are quite quick to read

  • There is plenty of cheap ones on aliexpress

Interesting there is ones now with a plug in external probe , perfect for the oven or bbq without having to open the door/lid

    • Got a sample link please? The one with external probe sounds interesting.

      • Go search on aliexpress , should take you about 30 secs

      • I've got a cheap one of these, and it's very useful. Some thoughts:
        * get a two-probe unit - you can track different parts of your cook
        * get spare probes - when the braided cable accidentally rests against something hot like a wire rack in the oven, they will die

    • Meater+ is the best but its $

      • Useless for probing my pork chops on the bbq

  • +1

That looks painful for my meat

  • I like how it's the size of a meat patty yet also the size of an entire chicken.
