% off deals are a farce, they are not a bargain unless they show the price.
Old fashioned way - ask mum and dad. Find acceptable mattresses in Myer, DJ and HN and buy cheapest.
Do yourself a favor and try mattress in a box like sleeping duck or ecosa. I think most of them have trial period where if you’re not happy they’ll send a charity organization to pick it up.
I used to have a 10k mattress from one of the big names, but it gives me back problems. Took a plunge and got the firm sleeping duck for $1500 I think, and sleep better since with (almost) no back problem.
3 years on, my Mattress in a box has started giving me sore back while sleeping. First three year were great, but it doesn't last.
You should be happy with 3 years. There’s plenty of landfill so easy to replace disposables. Guys working in Australia - stuff’em they’re disposable too.
I’m clocking on three years. I do rotate and flip my mattress every six months or so. It helps so I always get a good firm surface to sleep on.
My sleepmaker just turned 21 and has gotten misshapen.
I'll be buying Aussie made again; going with mobile mattresses.
@MasterScythe: If it helps - as far as I understand from mattress companies you shouldn't have a mattress over 10 years, especially one that is sagging.
@GreyChris: Eh, still works. It holds a sheet, and is softer than the floor.
But I am indeed ordering a new one shortly; hence why I was trying Mobile Matress' range :)
$100 OFF at checkout + 10% OFF, and then I enter the address and it says this for shipping:
Flat Rate WA Metro: $95
I'd purchase if it was ~$20 delivery, or they had a pickup option in Perth.
I find those brands are very expensive for what they are. Have a "bloody good mattress" and it's amazing and cost only a fraction of the cost. Probably one of my best life purchases.
Hard to put it as an ozbargain listing though as it's the normal price. https://bloodygoodmattresses.com.au/?gclid=CjwKCAiAr6-ABhAfE…Yeah, I agree.
I like mobile mattresses.
Australian owned, and Australian made.https://www.mobilemattress.com.au/collections/mattresses
$250 for a queen isn't too bad.
The showroom is within a day trip of me, and I went and tried them out; amazing quality.
No deals mentioned? How do you even compare a deal in the mattress industry anyway?
