Caribee Starlight 40L Rucksack $56.90 Delivered

40

A quick look around tells me this is a decent deal… it's $49.95 + $6.95 Shipping to Ipswich QLD. Details and specs below:

OVERVIEW…..

There’s a multitude of features packed into this 40L Caribee rucksack that will keep even the most hardcore trekker happy! The Arc Harness System provides maximum airflow, while the adjustable hip belt and sternum strap give optimal support so that you’ll barely feel the weight of your adventure supplies. It’s easy to pack with an extendable throat opening with dual draw cord closure and a bottom zipper entry, as well as an internal zippered divider to keep your gear organised. The side mesh bottle holders are handy, and being hydration compatible means that you can even save effort involved in reaching for bottles of water by drinking fluids directly from the backpack. In case of bad weather, an internal raincover can be unzipped to cover the pack, while the lashing points on the hood of the rucksack are great for attaching gear. For less rugged travel, this rucksack is the perfect size for carry-on luggage being just small enough to take on a plane but large enough to fit in everything you need. Have it all, with this great sized and versatile rucksack that satisfies all your needs!

  • I find it mildly suspicious that there is no mention that I can find of this specific backpack under this name anywhere else on the internet… or Caribee’s site… surely there should be if it is really a $119 Caribee pack, as they claim?

    • yeah I haven't been able to find this bag either

      • +1

Most likely a Caribee bag designed for some Asian markets only, hence why catchoftheday can sell it cheap. Base on CatchOfTheDay's shipping timeframe, I won't be getting anything from them soon.

        • You’d still think there’d be something on the internet about it. Not like it’s expensive enough to worry really, but it seems suspicious to me.

    • there are "starlite" tents on the caribee website but no "starlight" backpacks

  • Is it small enough to be take on plane as hand luggage?

    • Dimensions greater than what's allowed.

  • starlite was their tent range,

  • Carry-ons for domestic airlines are restricted to a maximum of 105cm linear dimensions.
    For domestic, see: http://www.webjet.com.au/flights/baggage-allowance/

For International, I believe most allow 115cm linear (Qantas and Virgin do for sure)

Linear dimensions for this bag add up to 117cm which exceeds carry-on allowances

However, you need to measure the dimensions of the bag AFTER packing. It will likely be a lot less than 117cm, unless it's packed to the brim. So, it should be fine for international carry-on. For domestic, you'd have to pack a little lighter.
