I've used BitDefender before when I had Windows PCs and found it superior. It's pretty light on resource usage and I found detection rates to be quite good. One piece of advice is to diligently check the expiry date of your licence as they may charge you the full rate for auto-renewal without you realising it. There are always deals popping up here on OzB so you rarely (if ever) need to pay top price for it.
Can you buy multiple to extend say 48months?
Possibly, it's something you'd have to investigate for each offer. The last time I bought a discounted subscription for one year I received 4 x 3-month keys, which I just entered as each one expired. You do have to be careful as some keys bought this way don't stack, they're treated as a separate subscription. I didn't know this until I'd actually bought it and then looked into the best way to redeem, and I expect it's a likely scenario if you purchase from a third-party reseller. This deal is direct from BitDefender themselves so may be handled differently.

If you add the new key to your Bitdefender Central dashboard, it will show a start date from the expiration of your current subscription.
Not necessarily.It depends on which flavor of Bitdefender you have. I had Total Security and then i bought the Family pack and activated in Bitdefender Central.It just added it as a second subscription running concurrently.
