* Carl's Jr is not a burger clone, timeline: 1940 McDonald's, 1941 Carl’s Jr. then way later, 1953 Burger King (our HJ’s).
* Carl's Jr burgers are 'chargrilled', unlike HJ's 'flamegrilled'.
* The burgers are BETTER at Carl's. Try the Angus burger range and taste for yourself.

    Americans only call it a burger if it has ground beef, therefore chicken burgers are "sandwiches" even if they use burger buns.

      Americans call beef mince, ground beef because they roll it around in dirt, which is why they constantly have ecoli outbreaks and have to recall their ground beef. True story.

    They also call hamburgers sandwiches too. Caused a lot of confusion when I first lived over there. e.g. Cheeseburger please. You want a meal or just the sandwich? Sandwich? I don't want a sandwich, I want a cheeseburger! Hard look. etc.

  Pretty sure chips cost jack so make it 4 large fries and I'm in.

      The ones that have at Carl's ain't the nicest in the world. Strange baked-like things with skin left on. The twisty fries are pretty poor as well….

  Have had this before, decent burgers when I first ate there but have dropped in quality since. Good for 2, maybe 3 if you don't eat a lot

  Had a California Special Cheeseburger yesterday. Not impressed, sloppy mess, stewed beef patties just like Macca's, nothing like Carl's in the US and not a patch on HJs here. .. :-( .. !!
