    Air detector, huh?

"If you can read this, there is air."

    • -1

I can't stop laughing when I read this so I changed the title

      • -1

Yeah to something misleading. It's not an air purifier. Anyway reported

  • +1

Umm not why just buy air filter with built air quality detector?

    • Try taking that into your car or simply outside…

Just carry around a Xiaomi air purifier. Has the same sensors for a little bit extra and cleans the air at the same time.

  • I first read this as a 'Lie Detector'.

    • same….

    • What an attractive title

I need this for my upcoming trip to Mars

Hard to believe there is much of a market for this device in Australia.

Needless to say, it's a different matter in mainland China.

    • Air quality was moderate in Sydney's eastern suburbs last week (pm2.5 @ 15ug). Every summer it goes a bit bad but it's almost never reported.

  • Does it detect foul stench?

    • Only on Death Star 1

    • Doesn't have tVOC like some of the other Mi/ClearGrass/Qingping sensors, so no.

  • +1

This will be handy for homeowners who have indoor air quality issues with their homes or for carers of high risk, stay at home individuals.

In the current environment, this would also be useful as a portable device to detect high CO₂ levels, which is a good indicator of poor ventilation and therefore increased COVID risk (as well as other problems associated with high carbon dioxide concentration, like decreased alertness and functioning, drowsiness and other health issues).

  • +1

Wow, the whole $2 off !

  • I think it is just too expensive

    • Agree totally. If it had VOC measurement then the price could be justified.
