    • Hi littlesoldier

Yes their is Heating is at 4.2kw.

  • What's install likely to cost if using this to replace a similar sized existing split system?

@ARO1: What a curious response to my location and postcode.

Out of interest, what would your answer have been if I said I lived in Timbuktu, postcode 8888?

              @UncleRico: Hi UncleRico

That is why I asked you that question we don’t cover installation work in every part of Australia. We do them in all metro cities across Australia.

    • as a rough guide I had mine done through bing lee's service which costed $599 all up, for a 7kw system. (like for like, ground floor, no additional parts needed)

  • How much for install to replace and remove existing system? Existing system is two head split system. So I will buy two of these units, one for each bedroom. Also, it’s in a townhouse with the head units going into each bedroom upstairs, external units will be outside on the ground against the back wall. Location is Adelaide, 5000. Thanks in advance.

Why would you buy Midea brand when you can get Mitsubishi for the same price after cash back?

    • You can buy a Mitsubishi brand if you wish. The only difference is we offer 10 years warranty, where as Mitsubishi offers 5 years.

      • +3

So is your warranty covering 10 years for parts & 5 years for labour? Don’t really understand what you mean by 5 years warranty + 5 years parts warranty.

    • Buy the 3.5kw MHI at bunnings and the backback makes it $40 cheaper

  • What is the Midea brand?

  • I know nothing about a/c and have been allocated the task of getting one installed by my Father in law.
    I was considering this

    Is this a better deal?

    • Different size, you need to know what size you want/need for the room its going in.

    • Hi Chakel

From Kogans website it appears they will charge you for delivery as well. But they offer only 1 year warranty on that product as quoted. If you go on our website you can book online with air conditioning installation we can give you a quote with the questionnaire it will ask you.

I’m sure we can do a package deal including installation.

    • I got LG and love it. Comes with Wifi pre-isntalled, if your FIL wanted that.

Most aircons you have to buy a separate wifi dongle

      • Orrr could buy a brodlink rm4 Pro and make the entire house Google assistant and Alexa ready at the same time :p

One year warranty on something that costs as much to install to buy is TERRIBLE.

    • +1

Since these cost money to replace, and require fitting you want to get the most reliable unit you can.

I wouldnt buy the Hyundai (I wont buy the midea either but I would buy the Midea over the Hyundai for warranty alone).

  • I wouldn't touch Kogan Hyundai or Midea. Use a decent brand like Mitsubishi. Installation is expensive so don't install cheap crap.

    • +1

      And Panasonic too.

      • You mean Panasonic good or bad?

        • +2

          Good

        • I have a non wifi Panasonic. It's very good but expensive

I own two Midea air cons, I fell for the ‘they’re one of the biggest in the world’ lines. Work fine as designed but both have had the power supply replaced twice because of the high pitched squeal they developed. The seller has disappeared / rebranded now so the warranty is worthless and I’ve taken to just turning them off at the switch outside when I don’t need it so I can sleep without the squeal.

  • @ARO1
    Hi,
Can you please explain about 10 years warranty? The website says about 5 years component and 5 years part warranty

    • Hi PriUdu

Manufacturer warranty is 5 years including labour we provide a additional 5 year warranty on the parts. If they fail after the 5 years Manufacturer warranty you won’t be charged for these parts.
