Get a $50 eGift Card When You Spend $1,500 with Payall @ Citibank (Credit Cards)

81

Seems like a generic offer as long as you have a citibank credit card. A banner will be displayed in your citibank app when you select a credit card account.

Citi payall is yet another BNPL service for bill but interestingly supports standard bank transfer. Which might come in handy in certain scenarios.

2% fees apply so when making $1500 payment, assuming bill CC surcharge is circa 1.3% its about $50-$10.5 profit. Citi reward points on top of it.

  • did you receive a targeted email or see it after you log in? last time i logged in it still had the dec banner on the website.

    • I still see the dec banner as well but the url displayed in there noting Jan. Looks like they extended it.

  • So this deal is use a credit check, spend $1500 get $10.50 + handful of CC points?

    • Get $50 gc minus fee + some cc points
Maybe useful when your bill has 1.x% surcharge when paid by CC

Its just an extra service for existing card holders do dont think it will involve credit check.

    • Won’t be double dipping. It’s an offer using your existing Citibank CC.

I’m still waiting on the $50 gift card from the same promotion in October: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/569815
    Has anyone received theirs?

    • +1

      Haven't received anything either

    • +1

Update: finally received the email with the $50 voucher today, after waiting more than the 10weeks cut off time. I didn’t have to contact them.

I can’t see how this is a $50 maximum potential profit.

    • Not $50 unless your bill surcharge is more than 2% which i don't think legal anymore?

For example, if you've been paying your rent via deft and the surcharge is 1.5% then effectively you can get $50-0.5% of your rental payment using this.

The 2% fee will eat up most of the profit. Then you could probably save a few more $ buying the giftcard a at discount elsewhere.

  • can you get deal on multiple card accounts or just the first one you do?

  • +2

I still haven't received my eGift card from when they ran this offer in October (deadline was last week). Means I'll now have to contact them, which makes this barely worth it for a $20 gift card ($50 less minimum fee of $30).

  • anyone manage to get deal to work via their mobile phone app? it just goes in loop, both android and apple. only managed to get it to work via desktop targetted email in nov still waiting for gift card.
