Cheapest deal by a couple of dollars. Beating out previous Amazon and Bunning's deals.
Though it seems to be pre-order only.

What about a Homebridge plugin?
Has someone integrated it with Alexa, how much is the delay & is there a talk back option like Ring door bell?

about 5 seconds, much better than Google Home (20s)
Also just wondering will it still work if there's an Internet outage, like is it dependent on live Internet connectivity or even private WiFi works?
Yes all Eufy products depending on Internet back to the mothership. Last year their servers went down for a few hours and all Eufy cameras around the world stopped working. There was a BIG backlash as a result and Eufy promised they would release firmware updates to overcome that dependence. Not sure if all products got that.
All the devices connect to dedicated wifi to the home base. So if there is an internet outage, you won't see the updates on your mobile, but cameras will still record events and save clips on the home base. Its just that the home base connectivity to your router will be lost.
the home base connectivity to your router will be lost.
Do you mean to "your mobile"/"outer world"? Because if the internet is gone, but router (meaning your wifi access point) is still on, the doorbel/cams/sensors should still connect to the home base, right?
Yes, I meant connectivity to your mobile and outer world, because all devices connect to home base on a seperate wifi between the devices and the base. So your devices will still operate as normal, but the base will lose connectivity to internet and you won't get any alerts on your mobile.
Can this Eufy system be used with some sort of siren, sound alarm?
Notifications on my phone may be cool and all, but once somebody cuts off that NBN cable hanging over my porch, it's useless.
or go to your main switch and turn the power off…
Great point. Case for hooking up to a UPS. Also, this is just a doorbell. Security system should kick in too.
Yeah, Simplisafe has a built-in battery for such case. Sounds like a better option for me, as I don't need any cameras, incl. a doorbell cam.
Yes, as I explained in my comment above, if you lose internet connectivity, your devices, alaram etc will still work, its just that you won't get alerts on your mobile.
Does it only work with homebase 2? I've got the Home base 1 for the cameras and would prefer not to have 2 homebases, I've heard the 2 is newer but not better in all aspects.
If i buy JUST the doorbell
- Can i run it off the homebase 1?
- Do I lose any functionality by doing the above?
Thanks ! :)
Gave up on trying to price match this deal but got SCA to pricebeat the Good Guys who have it for $329 and in stock. Paid $328 with an 8% off Suncorp App gift card which brings it down to $301.76
Can this be hardwired too guys or a separate product?
There are terminals at the rear for hardwiring.
Can be hard wired. It does both wireless and hardwired. Don't get the wired version as this includes the Base Station 2 to sync other Eufy products.
Got it from Bunnings $250.29 after pricebeat. They included delivery unfortunately.
how long will be the delivery? I didnt get any update from digidirect about the order yet..
Looks like all Eufy things have been pulled from Digidirect website? No luck with price match anywhere for me…
$297 free shipping at VideoPro - https://www.videopro.com.au/p-13802-eufy-wireless-2k-video-d…
Following up on an ETA, I received this from DD:
According to the record the stock will arrive early to mid next week.
As soon as we receive it we'll immediately dispatch it to you and update you with the tracking number.
Has anyone received their units yet?
Still waiting for word on mine.
Mine was delivered today
Still waiting. No indication it has been dispatched. Also noticed no Eufy products on their website anymore.
Mine was delivered yesterday.
Crap.. this is so confusing.
Edit: Do you think home bridge would be an option?
