    is this company reliable?

    • Found JB Hi-Fi vouches for them: https://www.jbhifi.com.au/collections/good-buyz
And can pay through paypal for the buyer protection.

Called Jb Hi Fi to price match and I was told that GoodBuyz is not their competitor hence can’t price match. So went ahead bought from GoodBuyz.

        • Wow that is very interesting…

Yes for me, I've ordered a few things for them, and it has all been as described. I haven't had to go through warranty or returns though.

Reliable and will ship quick. However I had to return a package to them, and they were incredibly rude, defiant, unresponsive, and claimed they never received the package.

I showed them ample evidence of Australia post delivering the package and their staff member physically signed off on it so they were either lying or they misplaced the package.

I had to go through my bank to recover my refund costs as they become completely radio silent. They were also really rude and combative through the entire process. It was really stressful. They also go by "directed electronics" and are located in Melbourne.

        Looks like one to avoid.

      • +4

Honestly, this is probably worth a negative under "serious problems with the seller"

      • +2

Its frustrating because when they're good, they're good. Usually Goodbuyz offers the best priced eufy products when on special. But I just looked up and have seen similar reviews under their business name "directed electronics Australia".They’re fine when everything is fine. But if you need to return a package, get a refund or do a warranty claim good luck i guess.

        thanks for sharing

  • Great price, thanks op!
Been eyeing for months, was always stuck at $359.
    Bought 2.

  • Thanks op. I used the same code and scored the eufy Video Doorbell 2K Wireless with Homebase 2 MODEL: E8210CW1 for $255.97.

  • Anyone know if activity zones are more accurate than the Eufy 2C cameras? Mine sets off the motion detection even outside the zones I set

Hoping this would have less false positives

    • +1

Mine goes off outside motion zone

  • Wow great price, just got 3 of these a few weeks ago for $347 each, and got a HomeBase too.

10/10 recommend, so far its been great.

    • Did you get an electrician to install yours? Mind sharing approx cost for installation?

      • I paid $70 per unit to install, that is to just replace the old floodlight so no new wiring involved.

Are they a grey import like Kogan?

    • It's an Australian supplier so Australian consumer laws should still apply.

  • +2

A few months back when it was on sale at JB at about $358, negotiated via JB deal to $300 and then used the $30 off $300 spend voucher to bring it down to $270.

I've a few issues with this cam though, it's AI learning module is pretty sh*t. No matter how many times I rule out the incorrect human alerts which this cam mistakes a tree for a human, it just won't learn.

Contacted their support but looks like they are like their AI module too

    • Yep, the AI module and eufy support are both terrible. My cam continues to identify the letterbox as a human. Other features are decent though, and for sub $300, it's tolerable.

      • I've got this one too and I have this same issue with their AI tracking. Another one is, I've got an SD card hooked up and not sure how should I bulk delete events that I don't need for over 3 months. It won't overwrite for some reason, and I think it's because I've got 512GB SD card and it only supports up to 128GB or something.

      • Can just sketch out the letterbox in the detection map though, no?

        • Yeh, you can set activity zones to reduce false positives, which is what I've done. The problem is the AI learning module. No matter how many times I marked the letterbox as non-human (over 100 times), it still detected it as a human. Eufy support had no solution other than to turn off the feature which defeats the purpose of having it 😅

  • Can match any solar panels?

    • No this device is to be hardwired.

  • These guys sell refurbished goods mostly, where does it say this is a new product and not used/refurb?

I have bought from them a few times, happy with the quality of the refurbs I have bought

    • Looks like the refurb stuff says it right in the title.

      • Normally it does but then using the same logic it should say new in the title, no?

  • I bought one then read the comment here that it’s refurbished. Can someone confirm this is not brand new?

  • Is this refurbished? If yes I’ll need to contact them to cancel my order.

  • WTH amazing price! Got one installed few days back (bought during Black Friday deals $359). Insane camera and amazing AI tracking feature! I don't have a Homebase and it is connected via wifi.
Tip: Install an SD card during setup. I did not do that as my SD was in transit from Amazon. Man this camera went nuts sending 20-50 notifications for single event (human detection etc). As soon as an SD was hooked up, it got okay. One notification per detection.

Will probably depend on a lot of things.

I had 3 installed. 2 were replacing existing flood lights, so I got charged $80 ea, if you're handy you could do this yourself pretty easily but its technically illegal.

The last one, it was at a spot where there were no existing junction box/light, about 2.8m up a wall on a double storey hebel house. The sparky had to drill into the wall upstairs to wire it into an existing powerswitch inside the house. Drilled through 2 Hebel walls, heavy duty conduit, waterproofing silicone, installation looks flawless, charged me $300 for that.

Only got two quotes and they were similar in price so just went with it.

      • +1

Yes, got an electrician to do it. He charged $70 to hook it up at an existing flood light point. Removed old flood light, installed eufy. Tbh, I was right next to him when he did it and it was super easy! He didn’t even switch off the main power switch! Connected all three cables. Done.
After seeing what and how he did it, I could have done it as well (I have zero handyman skills!).
Note - I had few other electrical work that needed to be done and this was one of it.

    • I dont get it, what does the sd card have to do with anything?

      • This is my guess only - I think the SD allows the camera to use the onboard intelligent AI detection function to record the event notification (and stop, when the same event continues). For example - a postman comes over the driveway, the camera detects a human and a vehicle, records the whole event and then stops recording as it already understands that it’s the same postman/vehicle. This triggers one notification for the event.

Without SD, the same scenario would trigger multiple event notifications when the post man is walking towards the door, turning back, getting in the car etc. This is because the event is not recorded for the AI to analyse?! Something like that :D

  • This is the best eufy 360 tracking that they make, better than the other floodlight cam

Also you’ll need homemade 3 with a ssd to have 24/7 recording

  • can this connect to NAS like Synology for 24 hours recording?

    • I have this cam. I’ve not set it up as it’s not needed but there is a option in the EUFY app to do it.

  • Will this work with a homebase 1?

  • So with homebase 3 I can have 24/7 continuous recording even without motion activation?

Also is this refurb or brand new?

  • Check out the Reolink Duo Floodlight

I have one and it's great 180° camera and 2 x floodlight… All powered by Poe.

  • Anyone figured out a way to automate changing mode based on time? Google home used to do it but it changed ffs (not sure on iftt but doesnt now)

I am aware of schdule but that just a mode in itself. So it just switches on/off.

The point is to Arm it back each night if i forget after disarming it.

  • +1

Will it work with home base 2?

    • Would like to know too

      • Just installed it today. Unluckily it doesn’t support HB2, and only supports HB3. But luckily it supports WiFi direct and local SD card for continuous recording. Not sure if it’s missing the HB3 or what, the notification or alarm function doesn’t work quite well. The light can lit up when PIR sensor detects something but my phones doesn’t receive any alarms/ notifications. Anyway, it performs better than my previous PIR flood lights and some small faults don’t meant the end of the world.

        • I’m yet to install mine. I’m overseas at the moment and the device is waiting in Austpost.
For notifications did you check the Security settings at the bottom of the main screen and then go to security mode settings. Check the appropriate boxes.

I’m wondering if Eufy this camera can take Tuya or Smart home actions?

  • Sounds like a great camera from comments above 🙂👍
