Asus ZenBook UM425 14" 1080P IPS 4700U 16GB 512GB SSD $1397 + Shipping ($15 to Melb CBD) @ Domayne

Looks like the same model as the other deal, but with 16GB soldered RAM. It's a chunk extra to pay for the 16GB ($198 for 8GB), but I figured I'd post it in case anyone was interested. I couldn't see a cheaper price on staticice, google shopping or ebay.

        lol, thanks

Edit: who downvotes this? It was a useful comment.

  • was it so hard to add a headphone jack asus? and why release a 400nit screen variant but make it virtually impossible to find. youd have to buy one from sweden.

I bought for this price in December, they were running $100 cashback as well till Dec 31st.

    • Ahh, you know that might have put me over the edge! I've got a 4 year old Zenbook flip which I love, but I could do with the extra RAM, DISK and CPU power these days and I don't really use the flip part of it.

    • How is it? I ordered this the other day, getting delivered tomorrow didn't realise no headphone jack so thinking of sending it straight back unopened

      • you can use bt or USB connected.

      • I have this laptop. It comes with a USB headphone adapter.

      • Come with the Type C adaptor for headphones, didn't worry me as I use wireless headphones. Laptop has been great though, as speedy as you would expect in everyday tasks. Build quality is nice, super slim and light. Speakers are lacking a bit of clarity but that's nothing new with notebooks.

Overall pretty happy, but bound to run into some issues eventually.

  • Any recommendation for year 3 kid school laptop? School wants BYOD. 8GB,i3 for around 500-600$?

I just received this one. It is 1.22 kg, although sticker on the laptop says that it is 1.13. screen is quite good and bright

    • Theres a variant of this laptop (which is rare as hens teeth from what I can see) with a 1watt 400nit display which is 1.13kg I believe. So they market on that figure for the rest.
