Seems an odd price for this. The unflavoured HMB is $74.39 with an RRP of $82.99 (1kg)
The RRP for 1kg of the flavoured product is apparently $28.99 which I can’t see as being correct.
For just about every other product on the site, the flavoured option bumps up the price.
For $17 this is an epic deal!
If you consider that the UK’s maximuscle’s most popular product “cyclone” is ~$70 for 1.2kg which is basically whey, sugar and HMB, this is a great DIY option if you’re looking to curb that catabolic effects of a caloric deficit diet.
1kg HMB Amino Acid (Plum/Red Bean Flavour) $16.95 (Was $26.09) + Delivery/Free over $150 @ Myprotein

Scam product?
HMB is a metabolite of Leucine.
https://examine.com/supplements/hmb/Plum or Red Bean flavors sound kinda gross, im not surprised they arnt moving these.
I’ve had it in the unflavoured form before and that’s disgusting
Provided your* protein intake is adequate, supplementing HMB won't give you more gains.
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30113522/True. For gains, go for Leucine but it should act better than leucine to prevent muscle catabolism
Should? Based on what evidence?
Idk about you but I'd rather use this $ on more protein rather than garbage like this.
Be warned Leucine promotes MTOR which may overclock cell growth

Summarised as:
There is compelling evidence that HMB supplementation may be useful for clinical muscle wasting conditions including AIDS, cancer, bed-rest, and during periods of caloric deficits. This is a very old study with new research since (see my above comment). All but the last circumstance you mentioned should really be left up to the medical team treating the individual for their specific situation. Provided you have adequate protein then your muscle mass won't further benefit from supplementing HMB.
Products and supps like these are really for the top <1% of body builders and fitness junkies that dedicate their life and money to fitness and their bodies. For the rest of us that arnt body builders, products like this are overkill and money is much better spent on Proteins etc…
Not for creatine…
It’s doubtful HMB would benefit even the top 1%This isnt creatine??
“Products and supps like these”
@Muscles: Creatine is like HMB? lol no.
Creatine falls into my Proteins etc bucket… in the supplements you should be taking for muscle growth (assuming youre not fussed about the hair loss thing).
Protein, Creatine, multi vitamins and maybe some BCAA's during workout and a pre-workout if you require a stimulant boost.
Everything else around this, such as HMB, are only going to give you very, very minor enhancements and bumps.
@TightTerry: I don’t disagree that HMB is worthless but it seems your wasting your money on supps that are worthless… BCAA and Multi…
Could even save by drinking a coffee rather than a PWO@Muscles: You actually need mulivitamins
Those vitamins and trace elements are essential for the body functions at the cellular level
@easternculture: If your diet is on point, you don’t “need” a multivitamin.
@Muscles: Based on my experimentation of supplements over the last year, i find that it is essential if your goal is building muscle mass.
@easternculture: Check your diet, I would assume that you’re not hitting your macros.
There have been no scientific studies where taking a multivitamin increases MPS, unless you’re severely deficient.
The only one I can think of would be vitamin D, which can directly affect your T levels, however 20 minutes in the sun will fix that.@Muscles: My diet is fine. 6 meals per day. Well balanced and developed in consultation with a detition.
Experimented with amino acids and mulivitamins and saw some impressive gains with substantial fat loss
@easternculture: Show me one study to support you “need” multivitamins, let alone they increase MPS.
Otherwise it’s purely placebo…@Muscles: Well studies have shown that supplementation in zinc increases you test levels
Vit A regulates test levels
Iron and folic acid can increase you hemoglobin and thus oxygen to your cells
Thiamin is essential for your liver health hence better metabolismEtc etc
@easternculture: So those increases in test, what does that translate to in real world results?
Probably nothing.
And secondly, you were probably deficient in the first place. If they worked so well, would would anyone even consider taking, AAS, PHs or SARMS?
I may as well run a cycle of Sustanon and take zinc and vitamin A for my PCT…
So those increases in test, what does that translate to in real world results? Probably nothing.
Well all i can say that my GP was amazed when he saw my test level
You dont have to take steroids. There is alot of science around muscle anabolism.
Increasing your natural insulin pre and post wokout, training around your GH spurts , and so on.@easternculture: Good luck with your multivitamin placebo
Some Vegan protein flavours are ridiculously cheap too… about $21 for 2.5kg after 35% discount
Are they any good (flavour / consistency)?
No idea- buying it for the first time…. Have bought the impact whey before and that tastes fine… Hopefully this tastes good too…
Which ones?
If you’re not fussed about the flavour, they have 5kg of blueberry isolate for $70something. Cheap as
It tastes good.
Bought 10kg last month. Got it for $62 per kg with a 51% code from a forumAlso been using HMB for 6 months now and ive noticed better recovery time and less muscle pain as im able to train large muscle groups e.g shoulders pm and next day chest am with no marked reduced strength
I take 10grams HMB daily post workout and 5g Leucine
Ive bought some more different amino acids to experiment with
have 5kg of blueberry isolate for $70something
You should post it up.
Its actually really good when mixed with a banana and i also add a scoop of strawberry caseinate i bought for really cheapgot me another 10kg
Hello Admirals!, Please turn your eyes to the monitors for a message from 'Nutriboom' elite Jay Chandrasekhar!, BOOM BOOM Everybody! When i first met Dr David Stobleman, i had no idea my amino acids could be soo high, or soo low.
OP. I think you will find your posted price is for 250g Not 1kg.
No it’s definitely for 1kg from my side. You can’t select a lower weight
For a moment I thought it was a coffee bean deal. i am back to my cave now.
Delivery is more than the supplements ($19.99) - no deal for me
Delivery sucks. You have to really stock up to make an order worthwhile
I ordered 2 X Proteins, 1 x Creatine & 1 x Pre workout from these guys end of last year. The packaging for these is all trash, non of the rezippable bags work and rip within 2 uses. The Creatine and Pre workout are fine (zip bags don't work lol so have placed into my own zip lock bags) and the protein is actually quite crap I ordered the banana and the choc ones.
If you are looking for something else - I have been using VPA before this, I personally find it better.
Dafuq is this scam product?
Go to the gym and stop eating Ben & Jerry's.
