Nope, they have it for $199. $189 with free shipping here https://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/buy/corsair-rm750x-2018-7…
No sale on the 750W+ unfortunately, I believe Corsair are experiencing a shortage with certain models as the 750W and 850W have been extremely hard to get a hold of at the moment.
For OP's reference, to QLD:
Subtotal $149.00
Shipping $18.00 (standard, $25 for express)
GST $15.19
Total (AUD) $167.00
While on AmazonAU it's $162.00 & FREE Delivery, plus cashback/gc.
I think this is a good deal for a 650 Gold. Is it fully modular?
Yup its fully modular
Like tedzozb mentioned above, can be had cheaper. But yes it's fully modular.
Any deals for 1000+ watt PSU?
I personally don't think it is a good idea to buy an expensive 650W PSU
Any reasoning behind that thought?
Buying a 650w psu means you're looking at 3060ti or below and at that budget, you shouldn't spend this much on a psu especially with low future compatibility
agreed. In fact those 750w psus in Australia are fancy enough in price this time
Disagree, if you're building any decent computer at any spec level, a decent PSU at the right wattage is always worth spending money on. If your target power requirement is 650W it's always a good idea to buy an "expensive" PSU. (For a 650W with decent warranty and 80 Plus Gold rating, this isn't expensive, at least for the time we're in at the moment)
@Trance N Dance: I'm not saying go and buy a potato psu like cooler master mwe either
This should be more than sufficient, $129 rrp 7 years warranty, highly rated

No reason to touch the rmx line
@ln28909: Fair, I guess I'm a little out with pricing atm.
This may, or may not change your mind: YouTube - 600W SFX Power Supplies vs. RTX 3080 - Surprising Results
It doesn't, the dude is an sff God, and with sff you don't have extra peripheral like rgb fans or hdd and they usually undervolt not overclock
I already pull average 600w from the wall with a 2 8 pin card, no chance a 650w can handle a3 8 pin card
And 3080 non 3 8 pin is bad anyway
I guess it's one of those "it depends" type of situation. It may not suit everyone's needs but for those who are in a pinch, it may still be viable. In any case, let's hope that the next generation of GPUs brings better performance / watt as I'm not liking the ever-creeping trend towards 1,000W PSUs.
I'm running an 8600k @ 5Ghz, and an overclocked 3080FE, with 5 RGB fans, 240mm AIO, SSD, HDD and I have no issues using the exact power supply in this deal. Fan doesn't even spin up on the PSU, even when benchmarking. The 750W recommendation for the 3080 is pretty generous.
@MoleManMike: You should consider rma your psu, or check your gpu, if fan doesn't spin then you either have a faulty sensor or your gpu is really underpower
There is no chance for the fan not to spin when you're doing benchmark, fan not spinning means the psu think your system is using less than 260w
@ln28909: Currently top 16% on 3DMark TimeSpy for my CPU/GPU combo, and that's just with the default Nvidia overclock on the GPU, and a standard 5Ghz overclock on the CPU. Definitely not underpowered.
Either the PSU fan doesn't spin up, or its very very quiet.
@MoleManMike: Is your graphics score above 18000?
@ln28909: Yeah, 18687. And that's without doing the overclock myself, just using Nvidia's pretty conservative automatic one through GeForce
Op whats the eta for ryzen 5600x?
I bought this model earlier today! For quite a bit more.
I was attracted to the silent operation. Thefan doesn't start spinning until it gets warm. If anyone is building a quiet set up I can highly recommend. Quite a subtle noise difference from the PSU i replaced, but significant if noise is a concern.
Also well reviewed at the time of launch

If you want a silent system just buy a psu that has twice the capacity of your system normal usage with 0rpm mode
Thanks for the suggestion. That's exactly what I ended up doing, so it's good to know I'm on the right track as it's my first build.. The RM650x has the 0rpm mode. It's brilliant.
I originally was aiming for some cheaper 'be quiet' PSUs but wanted to buy in person today and the Corsair was the only one I could find with 0rpm.
Of course, now the PSU is really quiet overall it's quiter, but now I can hear the case fans and the CPU fan……….next on the list.
Any deal on the rm750x?
