I have both Intex Excursion Pro and Intex Challenger K2. Excursion pro is much better. Don't forget 6% instant Catch giftcard from Suncorp Rewards to get it for $217 delivered.
Intex Excursion Pro Inflatable Kayak $249 ($224.20 with 10% off Code from UNiDAYS) + $6.47 (Pickup at Target) @ Catch

100kg weight limit? Really?
180kg according to intex official website.
https://intexcorp.com/products/sporting-goods/professional-s…
This makes sense now since it's clear someone at Catch has mixed up the single person K1 and the two person K2.
What's the code?
One-time Code. Request it here
Thank you!
Hi OP, Interested to know what you don't like about the Challenger K2 as it is often half the price of the Excursion Pro K1.
Great comparison in first review

Thank you hahaer - very informative :-)
Thanks OP, had my eye on this kayak for a while. For some reason, the name and description seems to be a mix of the excursion K2 (2 person) and excursion K1 (1 person) kayaks. The images all definitely look like the K2, the contents also match the K2 with two paddles, but the length and weight are from the K1.
I am about to pull the trigger but the description and the photos don't match each other. Hmmm….
They sent me the single person Kayak, I'm so annoyed!
Thanks for reporting back.
Mine came as well. Got the 1 seater k1. Looks like they've updated the listing, and annoyingly they have also have a new listing for the K2 at $449
Mines on its way back as a return, they agreed to an exchange if possible. The K2 version which is now showing up on catch is actually a resale from KGelectronics, so i don't like the chances of a straight exchange, but we'll see.
Had been eyeing the cheaper 2 seater at the same price for a couple of months. So it was a no brainer. Ordered one. Thanks
If it turns out to be a single seater there's plenty of recorded screens to say wrong product delivered.
BTW there's plenty of reviews online and even YouTube. All around very good reviews.
Also I found that you can set this model up as a single seater as well, which may be the source of confusion. In my research I have not seen a 1 person version sold out of the box. Instead it is a 2 seater that can be configured as a single seater.
There is a K1 model which matches the dimensions of the product description. Please let us know if Catch send you the K1 or K2 model?
They sent me out the single person one, trying to organise a return now!
Thanks for the info. I sent them a query they still haven't replied and they sure haven't changed the details on the item. Idiots at catch wasting peoples time - should be fine to get a return but a waste of time for all that ordered and are not happy with single kayak with presumably one paddle etc.
Bought it for $205 delivered with 10% off + $20 off for lattitude pain.
Not bad!
Thanks OP! I've always wanted a kayak but knew I'd never bother if I needed to load it onto the top of my car. This is perfect!
This is my deal as well. Hopefully an inflatable one works out.
Surely I’m not that hopeless.
Catch sent me the single person model, I'm so mad.
What a waste of time grrr
Have you contacted them? What did they say?
Have ordered a couple of days ago and sent a message today..
When I spoke to someone on the phone they said they could not guarantee a replacement (obviously a refund is guaranteed).
After that I sent them a strongly worded email about Australian consumer law and misleading or false claims.
In the app, for my return request, it says "expected resolution = exchange" so fingers crossed that's a good sign…
Considering Costco was selling these for $299, it shouldn't be a huge loss for them to honour this deal. Not counting on it though.
@[Deactivated]: Well since last night someone has edited the name and description of the $249 listing, removing any mentions of two-person or two oars.
But the listing still has multiple photos of a two person kayak, with two people in it with the words "2 person" in the corner.
At this point they're just asking returns…
@[Deactivated]: Not looking good…
My case has been marked as "awaiting return" with the resolution of "refund".
@SiliconBased: Been 11 years between catch orders for me. See they haven't changed much. Be another 11 years before the next one I guess. Amateurs.
Yes please let us know their reply and solution.
My case has been marked as "awaiting return" with the resolution of "refund".
Might be an interesting conclusion.. fingers crossed.

I haven’t received mine yet, but if they don’t deliver a 2 person kayak (as advertised) and don’t agree to exchange then I will be leaving negative reviews on ProductReview.com.au and any other review website I can find.
dang it… i was hoping it would be the 2 seater!
Hi, feel free to PM me and we can join in complaint to Dept of Fair Trading (I am in NSW)
They even sell the 2 person so should be able to provide the correct kayak as advertised.
https://m.catch.com.au/product/intex-excursion-pro-kayak-601…i know! consumer action? ACCC? they advertised the 2 seater one, i don't understand how they can just refund you, they wasted all of our time. They should ship the 2 seater one as replacement.
So you guys haven't had any luck either?
https://www.accc.gov.au/consumers/advertising-promotions/fal…
Can i get a count of who has fallen to this scam? It's not very fair that we lose our holiday plans because of their incompetence and especially after some of you have already made enquiries, they updated some parts of listing, but still refer to 2 seat/photos of that version. This to me is deliberately misleading.
Even now they still show the 2 seater for $249. Incompetence.
Received my Kayak today, it's the one person. Is this the same Kayak that others are selling for $169? I haven't opened the box. Awaiting directions from Catch.
Got mine today too. Also a K1.
Is a refund the only solution? Very disappointed they won't honor what was sold. If this is a single seater, then how was this price from memory advertised as $200 off?
Full on dodgy and still misleading buyers with photos of 2 seater.
Haven't heard back from them yet
24 hours later they ask for photos. Waiting for what they come up with next.
@[Deactivated]: I managed to organise an "exchange" for the two seater!
All, We need to figure out how to band together to get this looked at more seriously.
A refund will not do!
At the time of purchase the item description was 99% referring to a 2 seater including text, specs and photos. From memory also a large discount was advertised for the price it was at. The fact that they have updated the item but still using 2 seater photos shows that they are intentionally mis-leading consumers, which is not acceptable.
Does anyone have a screenshot from time of purchase showing the descriptions were of a 2 seater? I was submitting my returns and the items described in there said very clearly
Product Name
Intex 2-Person Excursion Pro K1 Kayak with Aluminium OarsI have demanded they exchange with a 2 seater version.

Can you please reply below if you are in the same situation and prefer the order be fullfilled properly, rather than brushed off with a refund.
alright, i guess no one is interested…guts me that we're letting them get away
Just waiting to see their resolution. They're moving really slow. Two days after delivery and complaint all they've done is ask for photos and haven't heard any more.
Don't waste time…. Looks like only you and I are still here. If there were more ppl active we could make a good complaint, but with just us… No point.
They said exchange is not available.
@hippo2s: I just got mine and I’m pissed too. Complete waste of my time. I needed a 2 seater. Happy to go in on this with ya. I think they should provide us the 2 seater as advertised.
@blergmonkeys: The 2 seater excursion pro on catch is actually from KGelectronics not catch itself. I provided full original listing screenshots and requested an exchange but it was just processed as a refund.
@hippo2s: Sorry I too was waiting to get an official response about their resolution before I escalated the issue.
I have managed to organise an "exchange" for the more expensive two seater!
Hi, feel free to PM me and we can join in complaint to Dept of Fair Trading (I am in NSW)
I didn't buy one as I figured it's a good chance they will waste my time and send single person.
Same here.I purchased on the 26th for the 2 person just collected and have a single person kayak.I have invoice as well as sales order with picture and description of 2 person kayak.Ive just had to send a photo and they will collect and once they receive it back they will send the correct item.
I am requesting this as well. They said they will discuss with the returns/refunds team and get back to me. I reckon it's probably not going to happen. I will def be demanding my catch plus membership fee back… even if it's only $6.50. It's the principle that matters!
Hi, feel free to PM me and we can join in complaint to Dept of Fair Trading (I am in NSW)
They will just refund.
We have to put together a complaint to ACCC or fair trading IMO.
Regardless, ship it back so you are doing as instructed.

Hi - Have just come across this site after a google search to understand if other people have been scammed by the false advertisement of the 2 seater Kayak and have been sent the 1 seater instead. I was honestly thinking that I was purchasing the 2 seat version as a good boxing day sale. Even purchased multiple vests so my daughter can Kayak with me.
As I knew I wanted to use this on my annual holidays, I had this sent to the local Target store so I can use this whilst away. The delivery time was a day off but could not even use this nor have any facilities to print of any return slip.
The description states it was a 2 seater, the tax invoice stated in was a 2 seater, the image on the tax invoice showed a two seater. Once I received the 1 seat version, I contacted the catch call centre. Interestingly, 1 hour later, the details and URL changed from the 2 seater to a one seater. This may have been by coincidence.
Understand that the Catch contact centre is located overseas and they are just running via a script. However the RMA team is based in Australia. Interestingly, they cannot contact the RMA team via email or via phone, only via a chat portal. They also could not provide me with any phone number or email address so I can contact them as "the RMA team does not have a phone number or individual email addresses" how convenient.
I did receive an email from the RMA team stating that they "tried" to call me but could not get through to my mobile. (no voicemail left or missed call).
Happy to be the third person for an ACCC or fir trading complaint.
My local Australia Post was able to print the return slip for me, I just needed to log in to the website on my phone and get the barcode for the exchange.
If you keep the pressure on, particularly with the Australian based returns team, you might be able to organise an exchange for the two seater. I was able to, but obviously your mileage may vary…
the barcode, i assume is for the aus post return shipping label? You have in writing that they will replace with 2 seater?
I have (1) called the call centre and (2) replied to the 'offer of refund' email stating clear that i expect a 2 seater replacement. The agent said i have to wait for a response via email from the returns team which i replied to in (2).
I am also ready to go lodge a complaint to Dept of Fair Trading -i just need you guys to PM me your details - should we need to go ahead with lodging the complaint.
That’s great news! Can you explain how you went about it please?
So at first I was replying to someone from customer service team via email, however they were unable or unwilling to help.
I then sent a 'formal complaint' to the customer service email using the ACCC template, after this I guess my case was escalated to the returns team.
At first even the returns team agent was unwilling to help, but after continually replying with screenshots of the website, my tax invoice, and quotes from the ACCC website about misleading consumers the returns agent promised to credit me the difference, upon recieving my return, so I could purchase the $449 listing. Upon recieving that promise in writing I made my return (last Thursday) and sure enough today I recieved an email from the same returns agent saying they had recieved my return and notifying me they had added $449 of credit to my Catch account. I have since ordered the 2 person model.
I think mentioning that you are in contact with other customers who were mislead in the same way and are preparing to lodge a formal complaint might really make them sweat?
@SiliconBased: Thanks for explaining. I will follow the same.
Have had 2 other members send me their details, i will bring this up with them and also use in complaint to ACCC/Fair Trading should we not get favorable outcome.
Hi, feel free to PM me and we can join in complaint to Dept of Fair Trading (I am in NSW)
Happy to join any complaint.Im still waiting for the returns team to contact me for collection of the single person kayak.
Ive just posted on there facebook hoping to get them to contact me.I cant find anywhere a email address.Hopefully on there facebook they seem to be quick at responding to other complaints.
They are out of stock of the 2 seater, not going to be able to exchange. :( They offered a $50 credit instead.
I am negging this deal BTW, to show that the deal was not … obtainable.
Hi - Update. Same experience as SiliconBased. After I explained that I will continue to call, a Melbourne based employee called me, provided me with a "goodwill" $449 credit. I was them able to place an order that morning for the product I was meant to receive in the first instance. Had noticed that not long after, the 2 seat version was sold out.
So would this be discriminating between different customers? some get $449 credit, others get $50?
I won't take 'out of stock' as an excuse. They are one of the leading merchants in aus, they carry 120 Intex items / thru suppliers. i find it hard they can't get more stock. Other competitor websites list this item as available / available from supplier, then why can't they get more?
Maybe if they had processed my request earlier, then i would have gotten a 2 seater? Again, this is not my fault - they are the ones that are treating customers differently.
Totally unacceptable.
Ive just received a response.
We do apologize for the delay in responding to your query. Our team has been experiencing an unprecedented number of messages, and we appreciate your patience during this time.
We are sorry to hear you have experienced an issue with your purchase.Unfortunately, there was an error in the listing for the Intex 2-Person Excursion Pro K1 Kayak with Aluminium Oars that you have purchased, and we are unable to supply the product. I have requested the warehouse team double check this and they have confirmed.
Regarding a label/barcode. Please use the attached label to return your items. This will cover the cost of the shipping.
You will be refunded in full on its return. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Kind Regards,
The label to print out says ive got to take the parcel to the post office!!
Just responded with a stronger email. They received my returned kayak, and did a refund, no credit (even tho it was offered).
I guess a customer that's shopped with them for 11 years (back when they were just a daily deal site) - does not matter.
Does intex have any customer support in this country? Lost a part first day out. They sell the part for US$5 but don't ship outside US of course. And seem to have no customer service in this country grrr.
how is the K1? i can't find any reviews on this thing, looks to be much newer than the K2 version
main thing i want to know is how small does it pack up, would like to take this thing on a motorcycle
i was looking at the cheaper explorer which weighs almost half as much, wehen packed is this one much bigger than pictured below?
https://www.paddleventure.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/int…this one appears much stronger, 3 layers, the cheaper one is a single layer of pvc, so naturally it's going to weigh more but it's hard to gauge how much that will affect the size when packed, any feedback would be appreciated :)
It's a great kayak I'm pretty happy with it. It's pretty large and heavy when packed up. The bag is probably about 70cm long and 40cm wide and tall. I ride a motorbike and really can't see it happening on the back of a bike.
God CATCH are a b@stard of company.
After promising me a $50 refund if I decide to keep the kayak, they've stoped responding to my emails for 10 days and no refund.
I will never, ever purchase from them again. Absolute disgrace.
