I checked. No other posts about this yet. There are other LCD deals as well. It is part of Dell's boxing day sale.
Very good deal, about 30% off.
Shopback now has about 6% on Dell. I am not sure, yet, if Alienware LCDs are covered.

Happy bargaining!

    Specs are excellent!
    27" IPS QHD 2560 x 1440 (DisplayPort: 240 Hz, HDMI: 144 Hz) 1ms response time.
Only issue for me is the price 😅

    • I did not post anything about the specs because I thought this one would need no introductions. Pretty much one of the top range ones in its size.

I had been thinking about the LG 27GN750 because I personllay prefer 27inch in FullHD resloution. But the LG one has a variable range from 48Hz while the Alienware one is from 1Hz. Cool.

They both have LFC, which is what the Dell references.

They have a minimum VRR value, then they
use a frequency within their VRR range that's a multiple of the frame rate, and show the same frame until it updates.

  • When did this deal start? Cashback was 12% recently.

LOVEKEANU code may be an option for 7% off instead of the cashback offer.

I found out today. I checked yesterday at work but it was not there.

    • An update: the LOVEKEANU code is not eligible.

  • I got this during the previous deal only a few weeks ago. By far the best in class 1440p 27 inch IPS monitor. Blows the dell and the lg away.

    • Curious as to how so?

      • you mean what deal before? there was an eBay deal with limited stock may 100 units from Dell.

        • Yes the eBay deal

      • … it's well-calibrated wide-gamut 240Hz monitor?

I'd prefer the Samsung G7 myself, but the comment is spot on.

        • Oh, thought it was 144mhz. Fair enough!

      • Colour gamut, build quality, minimal/zero ips glow. And if you have a high end 3000 series gpu that can handle the 240hz, this monitor truly flex’s.

  • Tempting. Aside from gaming. This or Dell UltraSharp UP2716D for photo editing?

  • The height adjustable stand connects with the monitor via a non-removable VESA plate, which is not shown in the image.

Does that mean you can or can't put it on a monitor arm?

    • +1

you need to take the stand off the LCD first. then you will see four VESA 100 screw holes. although Dell's stytle is that those holes are "dent-in" meaning they are not on the same level of the rest of the back cover. if your arm comes with a giant plate, you might have a bit issue.

Dell cashback is a scam, doesn't seem to track at either cash rewards or shopback according to many people.

  • Great monitor! I am currently using them as dual monitors for gaming and photo editing :)

  • Anyone upgraded from an asus pg279q? Wondering if the screens are much better on these alongside the increased refresh rate (165 to 240hz).

    Thanks!

  • Thanks OP! Been eyeing this ever since launch :)

  • Great monitor, great price.

Just a little FYI, it only runs 144Hz at 10 bit colour. It will drop down to 8 bit colour at 240Hz as it does not support DSC.
