TF2 lasted 100hrs+ for me. and its a Free-2-Play. I think it depends on what type of gamer you are. FPS / SandBox / RPG / Simulation.

Can you ever be done with Skyrim? I know I haven't and I've invested quite some time with it. I'm leader of the companions and Arch-Mage of Winterhold. Doing Thief Guild quests right now ;)
They've designed the game to have INFINITE side-quests, which although might eventually get repetitive, still somewhat makes the game a near bottomless pit for your life. But I believe if you do decide to play this game for years on end it'll lose it's interest once you max out everything you want and completed the questlines you're actually interested in :)
And that doesn't include possible player mods that introduce more story :P
Probably not, but I've pretty much lost motivation to play after finishing the main story. I still play it from time to time though.
I felt my interest waning slightly after 50 hours, so I installed some mods (including one that allows fletching - thank god!) and I got sucked right back in again :D
Oblivion is so good :D

i want this game. when i download from steam, is there an option to save to an external HDD? Cause the built-in HDD is full.
I already have this, but I think it might be hard to go back to Oblivion after enjoying Skyrim.
Oblivion still has a few things over Skyrim. Spell making and haggling for example. Going to go back and play morrowind & oblivion once i get bored with skyrim. After i get bored of those 2 it'll probably be back to skyrim and catch up with all the mods 8D
The gates are pretty repetitive - only 16 or so unique layouts and alot of people disliked the leveling system, however this is a Bethesda game so with a few mods it's an absolutely spectacular game and an enormous map filled with a huge variety of quests and challenges to complete. This isn't your typical 4 hour FPS experience, you'll be playing for months and still not be finished. If you don't consider this a bargain there's something wrong with you. +'d.
