  • +1

Yeah not seeing it, have a few other Boxing Day challenges but mostly fashion stuff

  • +1

    Not available to me

  • +1

    Didn't get it.

  • +1

I can't find it under "Earn More" " Challenges tab "

  • +11

$10 Bonus is exactly what they didnt pay me from the eBay challenge.

    • Dang, was that the recent Black Friday/Cyber Monday challenges?

      • +3

Yeah, so YMMV but I was super careful to exactly follow all the requirements (ad-blocker off, activate in app first etc) so I have lost faith in Shopback until things improve - lots of others had a similar experience https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/592612

        • +3

For what's its worth i got all the bonus challenges as completed status. Granted I only made small ebay spends in region $5-$10.
Bonus itself isn't shown until the corresponding tracked eBay transactions get to completed status

        • Did you contact them about it? I've heard that usually fixes it up.

FWIW I did a $5 order and all 3 of mine tracked easily. Unlucky I guess?

    • Thats what they're going to be handing out to those that complete this $10 challenge.

  • I tried claiming on the Dell $100 cashback, activated on iphone, was very careful with browser, and they claim it did not track. What can you do?
I then tried the Adidas deal from 2 days back - activated and purchased via the Shopback app on my iphone. Again, no tracking so far.
Seems all the small things track, but when you get something bigger, I'm not sure I can trust them to come through…

    • did it even record the click?

      • Yep, I had a whole bunch of clicks in my click history.
        They just deny the transaction.

    • +3

I even used their app to avoid any issues with my Dell purchase for the Dell challenge. Now they claim i must have either forgotten to click or had another store's add-in installed inside their app even though I downloaded the shopback app from the Google Play Store.

How could either of these things have really happened when every small transaction works fine.

      • +4

I got the same pain. I found probably why. I also used the Shopback app since I found on PC browser the shopback extention will not track (red, not the green indicator). The problem is the Dell default page after click dell on shopback is deal.dell instead of dell website. Anything click through deal.dell (the sale event page) is not recognized as dell.com even though it should. I tried again when I bought the monitor a few days ago, search on dell.com/au directly and use extension without going to shopback website record and track correctly, note the tracking plug-in indicatior actually became green. Basically I lose $100 cash back+$100 challenge bonus on this. I claimed missing tracking as well, no luck and I do not think they will admit their mistake link to deal.dell.com not get tracking

        • +1

Glad I am not the only one. They don't even have decent customer service like CashRewards :(
(Just that someone else who feels my pain, I don't wish anyone to miss out on their rightful cashback/rewards)

      • +1

I have never had a successful track using the app. I only activate bonus through the app then go through the website to track the purchase.

        • +2

All my small value deals have worked fine in the past.

But this is a larger ticket spend, and a larger cashback (esp with the Dell challenge)

So maybe the large volume of small value transactions track well, but they skim the profit on the larger value transactions (since they dont happen often).

      • Surprisingly I get the Dell 10% and $100 challenge tracked today even I gave up after rejected missing track complain, did you get it?

        • It turned up out of the blue for me also. Their Boxing Day $10 is also now showing up as tracking. There's still a way for them to go to earn my trust back, so I'm cautious based on their recent poor performance and unsympathetic attitude to their customers that they will still end up finding some other imaginary reason not to pay, but the tracking finally coming through is a good sign at least.

          • @CacheHunter: Congratulations! At least get some money back. It was really a plain to "lose" $200+ cash back in the Dell event. Hope they learn something from this big mistake.

  • targeted :c

  • where are the non-App deals ?

  • +6

Should have a 50%* wildcard may or may not be paid

    • +1

      It does.

    • +1

Exactly aye. I don't bother with shopback. Long live cashback. They may not have as many deals…… but they track and pay

  • Nothing for me.

  • +1

Looks like only for purchases under "Qualifying Categories"

  • +13

Hackers will target me before Shopback does :)

  • So many people saying "Targeted" and same with me. I don't have it. Can anyone confirm they have this?!!

  • Does it include categories with 0% cashback?

    • I would think not

  • +1

Waiting for the 10% eBay cashback uncap promo

  • +1

Got it, not sure what the qualifying categories are.

    • +1

Probs any category that's not 0% cashback.

  • +1

    Thanks op, got it.
Wonder if stacks with $5 browser extension challenge (spend $10). Never used it might try it out with this deal.

    • That says 10-20th December.

      • Just checked again below the banner, says 30 dec ….twice. prob extended it?
Too many unknowns here great chance to be declined

        • Maybe all of these things are targeted. I for one do not see the amazon bonus, same with many others.

        • It was always 10-30th, the top banner was just wrong

    • Curious to know as well, previous ebay $5 ones stacked so fingers crossed!

  • Went through the trouble of downloading the app…signed in…searched everywhere…nowhere.

    The good ol bait.

  • +2

    Targeted

  • +2

    don't have either

  • Yes, targeted. My girlfriend has it, I don't.

  • +2

    TARGETED? SB really going downhill.

  • Managed to find something I wanted to buy that is in one of those qualified categories, then came back to check ShopBack and realised I wasn't qualified… Should have done that the other way around

  • +1

    Shame its targeted

  • +1

Targeted Christmas deals is the work of the Grinch.

  • -8

So many plus votes yet so many haven't got the deal due to it being targeted… Down vote due to the lack of availability to most ozbargainers.

    • +2

yet so many haven't got the deal

Not everyone that gets the deal comments in the thread. Your assumption is flawed.

      • Hey, that's not the ozbargain beehive mindset. Downvotes are reserved for bad customer experiences, etc, etc. Check the voting guidelines.

I mainly just not upvote the deal if it doesn't target me or I don't see it useful for me lol. Better to do that then downvoting.

        • Tell that to gooddealmate

  • Not showing here either.

  • "using unapproved coupons" - so every coupon codes??

  • +3

Got it :) . Only 493/5000 participants so far :|

  • if i use 10% seller's coupon, will this void the $10 cashback?

    • Yes, unless shopback specifically says you can use the coupon.

  • +3

So a $3 spend with $2 cashback gets negged badly . Everyone can use it .

But a targeted $10 that a few is getting is a Xmas present glorified lol .
Overnight I guess they fixed the App tracking problems :)
    Well done gotyourback .

  • How can I see which category a product falls under?

    • +2

I think you have to use a pc

  • +1

I received the same offer. Is it okay to pay using gift cards?

    • +3

      Yes.

  • +1

Does purchase need to be done through the app or can be done on desktop?

    • It doesn't specify, though I have a sneaky feeling that tracking works better on desktop rather than the app

      • Purchased on desktop last night still have not tracked yet

  • +1

Can use Sub & Save and still eligible for the bonus?

    • +1

No. Sub & Save is not eligible for cashback.

  • will this work for items sold by Amazon UK through the Australian site?

    • +1

Yes because you are buying it through Amazon AU

  • It says qualifying categories??

    • +1

Qualifying categories would be those that have a percentage higher than zero on the store link

Also be aware of the other conditions to ensure it tracks.

      • Thanks mate

  • Any suggestions?
The exclude category list pretty much excludes everything I want

  • +1

@ associate , my cashback is tracked at ZERO. I have purchased clothes and pantry! Please help

    • Mine too … and can’t re-do it since I’ve “completed” the challenge

    • I would recommend getting in touch with gotyourback who is the official representative on this site for more help.
