  • Unfortunately can't be stacked with http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/58564 - although I haven't attempted such, due to:
"Not valid in conjunction with any other offer (including Frugal Friday offers, Special offers, LivePrice offers and products marked as "On Sale") and not redeemable for cash"

  • Seems like a fantastic deal- what's the catch?

    • 20th January dispatch.

It'll be interesting to see the pre/post-Christmas sales [After 13th Dec], and how many other places match or beat such a price.

      • yeah it will be interesting to see the christmas sales. I think we will see some big bargains on samsungs as they want to get the new models in. hoping for a 3D, FHD, 100hz for a nice price

  • -5

if they can do a 40" full hd 100hz for $249 then I will get it

  • Anyone have one of these? Whats the quality like? For $200 a FHD 32" seems like a steal, but I dont trust kogan as far as I could throw him so im sure theres a catch somewhere…

    • It's a CMO panel, so I don't imagine it's much worse than some of the Samsung monitors I've used with CMO panels, there's usually a slight colour imbalance/shift. It's always been towards blue for me with CMO.

      • My money is on it being possibly a Samsung panel, nothing great but acceptable.

  • $35 delivery.

  • Hmmm. "Expected" Dispatch.
I "expect" that it will be a lot later than 20th Jan.

  • +2

I put in Brisbane 4000 and it says delivery is 46.20!

    • And $60.95 delivery to Perth!

  • +4

Anything with Dodo involved seems untrustworthy to me

    Jan dispatch

Useless, 32" LCDs will be worth $3.50 by then.

    • Whilst I don't doubt we'll see 32" LCDs not far from this $235 price mark in the Boxing Day sales I really don't see how you can expect something that large, heavy and complex to go much below that at the moment short of a clearance or a low-stock doorbuster sale.

      • There is going to be a point when lcd and plasma tv's cant get cheaper. on saying that, we thought a 68cm tube tv would never get to $999… but in the last years of them being sold, i think the cheapest was $249 at BIGW/ALDI,68cm is 28inch, and we see 32inch for $249 dlvd. they have well and truely become cheaper than CRT's, in a time frame quicker than i could imagine. Will a 42inch plasma sell for $249 in 2 years, or even a year?

        • +1

would not surprise me. FHD is quickly becoming standard on nearly all TV's and prices keep dropping. Soon we should be able to get a fantastic 40-50" FHD 3D screen in a good brand for under $500, that is my hope anyway.

Cant believe we paid about 3.4k for a 40" Sony Bravia 3 years ago, and now they are about $600.

  • What would this be like as a monitor?

Does it do 1:1 pixel mapping or has a pc mode?

    • +1

For the price I would not trust it at all to do 1:1 mapping even though it is standard on a lot of cheaper sets these days. Your best bet is to let some other people be the guinea pigs before buying into it.

By the time this time ships, it could be a regular 1366x768 TV. Kogan preorders have had their specs cahnge in the past.

    • i bought a vivo with similar specs without 1:1 mapping

if you have a nvidia graphics card, you can manually adjust the screen to fit
im running somehting like 1879x1060 instead of 1920x1080

screen fits perfect, all my games support it and it looks beaut. saved $$ instead of getting a more expensive TV just for the mapping

      +1 to nvidia

  • Oh because it has a month before it is dispatched no one will buy!

Silly move Kogan. GREAT DEAL though!
