Thank you Blackfrancis75
what's the verdict?
This wine was meant for export.
To China ?
Yes
Will go well with my $20 lobsters… Thanks…
I'm still looking for the $20 lobsters.
None on Northern Beaches, even before the lockdown.
Can't even go out to have a good old whinge.
From Australia.
What does it matter?
What does it matter?
Because I'd like to support those exporters being screwed by the Chinese government…
It takes two to ScoMo
Support local, full stop. Don't think you really need to go to the granularity of exporters screwed by the trade woes.
I got some cancelled export before, and instead of a normal cap, they had shoved a lump of tree-bark in the bottle neck. Apparently the Chinese like that.
I take it it's some form of 'export only' brand? No trace of it in my Google searches.
Seems to have some association with Craneford Wines, going by Linkedin
Worth more than $78? OP what is the regular price? Curious…
I was told that it was to be sold at $120 + GST per dozen to China.
Not sure exactly as it didn't happen.I was told that it was to be sold at $120 + GST per dozen to China.
Exported goods do not attract GST
Hi Mad Max. Producers do have to charge GST where the exporter is an Australian based entity. The GST component then works itself out through the exporter’s BAS. My point is the information from Skye Cellars is likely correct to their knowledge.
Cheers RD :-)
Why does the picture for this remind me of one of those 1980s PC games?
90s. Looks like first gen Diablo
