First Choice Liquor: 22% Cashback ($25 Cap, 12:00pm-11:59pm AEDT) @ ShopBack

1280

T&Cs1

Received an email from ShopBack this morning. Another 22% cashback, valid from 12:00pm to 11:59pm AEDT today.

Judging from the past few cashbacks it looks like 22% cashback will be the new norm for booze from Shopback.

Note that the cashback is worked out on the ex-GST value, so it's effectively only 20%. This also means that a spend of $125 maxes out the cashback.

The email was received at 8:06 this morning, titled: 25% cashback at ECHT Today. In the email under Today's Other Top Deals you'll find the First Choice 22% cashback, was ≤ 3%

So check your email if you subscribe

You don't need any code. The deal goes live at 12pm.

  • I can confirm the other First Choice Liquor 20% back deal worked the other day (Saturday), and the money is in my Shopback account already.

    • Can I use the cashback deal without flybuys?

      • yes, you just wont get the bonus points, just cashback from Shopback…hopefully.

  • Shame, can't find any store near my place…

  • All these booze deals and I have to hold out and wait, because all the shops are across the border in Victoria and I'm not certain the border will be open for Christmas.

    • heal thyself with delivery

      • -1

lol, not doing that bad with stocks that I need to go so low as paying for delivery.

  • Johnnie walker blue at $145 after Cb and flybuys points is pretty respectable (if my math works out ok)

  • I'm still waiting for my ordered to be delivered from more than a week ago.

  • No stores even close to me. Hanging out for a similar BWS boost before Christmas…fingers crossed!

  • Lagavulin for $65 (post flybuys points and shopback) looks pretty good

  • Possibly a stupid question, but can we do multiple transactions of $113.64 (maxing out the $25 cashback each), or will we be capped at $25 cashback total across all transactions in the promotion period?

    • No. The $25 cap is across all transactions.

PS It's $125 to max out the cashback as ShopBack calculates the cashback on the ex-GST value.

      • +1

Awesome, cheers. Didn't realise it was on the ex-GST value.

  • So, do you have to spend $150 to get 4000 points ($50 on something and then $100 on selected items)? Trying to work out what is minimum spend to get maximum benefit ;)

    • +1

No. You can just spend $100 on the selected items and you will get 4000 bonus points.

EDIT: The minimum spend for the maximum benefit is $50 at 40% off for any product. (You will also get 40% off a $100 selected item spend.)

    • I only got 2000 points for spending $58 + $50 item from select item :(

      • +1

You need to spend $100 on selected items to get the additional 2000 bonus points.

In your case you should have spent $58 + 2×$50 item from selected items, or just the 2×$50 selected items.

      • I only got 2000 points too and I bought two $50 bottles of Liquor that had the spend $100 get 2000 bonus points offer attached. Hmmm

        • +2

A few people reported the same issue with the previous similar deal.

I suspect the (crap) First Choice Liquor system doesn't handle double stacked bonus flybuys offers too well. Not sure if you'll eventually get the other 2000 or if you'll have to ring up after four weeks. (See that other deal for more info.)

  • Hi All,

New user so please be gentle if my questions seem silly. :)

Just wondering if there is anyway to access this 22% cashback offer without the email as I only signed up with Shopback today and haven't received this offer email.

Can anyone forward me a copy of the email?

    Thanks in advance.

    • Just use the link from the shopback website.

      • Thanks, appreciate it. :)

      Hi and welcome to OzBargain!

Here on OzB, if an offer is "targeted", i.e. you need to have received an email or have had the offer appear in-app in order to be able to use it, the posted deal will be flagged will a blue TARGETED tag at the top. (See $10/$20 Bonus Cashback for $100/$200 Spend at BWS via ShopBack Challenges for an example.) Otherwise, the deal is available to everyone.

For cashback sites, you need to click through to the partner site (e.g. First Choice Liquor) from the cashback site or App in order for tracking to occur. Please read the cashback site's Terms & Conditions carefully and follow all their recommendations so that tracking occurs successfully and you are eligible for the cashback.

Two important things to do are:

      1. Turn off adblockers
      2. In most cases, avoid paying with Gift Cards.
      • Hi robinCTS,

Just placed my first order through First Choice Liquor from the cashback site. Generally how long before the tracking appears and I presume I would be notified of tracking?

Also spent $110 on the website however only received 2000 bonus points instead of 4000 so not sure what did I do wrong.

        Thanks,

        • Generally how long before the tracking appears and I presume I would be notified of tracking?

You should get an email when it tracks. (I've always got one; some people say they don't always.)

In the last month or so all of mine have taken 2-3 hours, bar one that took a little longer. Others claim a longer time, sometimes never getting tracked and having to file a report.

Also spent $110 on the website however only received 2000 bonus points instead of 4000 so not sure what did I do wrong.

Assuming you spent $110 only on items in the selected list, then probably nothing. Seems like there's a glitch in their system.

  • Can't login, receiving "An error has occurred. Please inform us at [email protected]." Useless service as usual.

  • Only one order per account? Can't see it specified anywhere

  • Anyone else get their tracked email yet? Ordered at around 12:30pm

    • +1

Previous reports say 5 to 6 hours. 4 hours so far for me and no email as yet.

    • Been a couple of hours for me as well . No tracking yet.

  • First Choice online beer is weird. They recently removed 4 and 6 packs to just have cartons instead

  • Am I the only one confused? All these cashback offers lately are mostly for people getting drunk. Anything else?

    • +1

It's Christmas! Non-alcoholic deals will return in the New Year.

      • Got to love the reviews on that!;

"Horrid, insipid flavour. A bit like chewing on a pencil. Mostly just tastes like water. Tried it with tonic, thought there might be some kind of kick or at least some juniper. Nope. My wife requested to never drink it again. Surely being on the wagon doesn’t have to entail this kind of punishment"

  • Did anyone else have this tracked at around 10% rather than 22%?

    • Are you sure that tracking isn't for Liquorland? ShopBack currently have 10% cashback there.

(My First Choice Liquor order cashback tracked at the Cap value of $25.)

  • Good thinking, but it's First Choice Liquor tracked at $11.64 for a purchase of $128.00 - which looks a lot like 10% minus GST :(

    • Received my cash back confirmation and its 10% as well instead of 22% as stated
