Kadink Paint (2.5l), Magic Sensory Sand (2kg) or Dough and Modelling (1.8kg) Starter Sets $9 Each @ Officeworks

720

There are three very generous (in terms of quantity) kids art/craft kits on clearance at Officeworks at the moment (check your local store for stock - I was able to click and collect).

Painting Starter Set includes a smock, 5 colour of paint (500ml each), 4 brushes and A4 paper pad

Dough and Modelling set includes a smock, 12 150g doughs, modelling tools and funny face pieces

Magic Sand includes 6 colours of magic sand (like kinetic sand) 350g each and 15 sand moulds. The moulds are quite small, but this is an excellent price for the sand alone.

Great last minute budget Christmas Gifts for young kids, to have in as birthday presents or just to have for the kids to play with. Sorry I have no idea what stock levels are like across Aus. I was able to get all I wanted to buy via click and collect on the Gold Coast. Enjoy!

Thanks op grabbed one of each.

I've got young kids and I personally don't think these are worth $9.

    What was the full price?

    • +7

      Fair enough.

A smock is minimum $5, 4 120ml paints at Kmart $5, one small bag of kinetic sand is $5 etc etc.

If you have a cheaper source of such things I’m sure lots of us would love for you to share 😃

For my needs it’s great as we have a very little one so starting from scratch with no smock, brushes, tools etc.

      No idea of full price

      • Yeah, I have small kids too and saw it as decent value. If there is somewhere that is cheaper I'll be interested to hear where.

    • How much would you pay?

According to Prino they were $19 originally.

    • $19

Thanks OP great present options for kids birthday parties.

They look good value to me.
The tiny sand toys are hard to find at a good price.

Thank you OP. I really appreciate the post and I’m sure the kids will too. A couple of hours of entertainment, on at least a few occasions, at less than the price of a movie ticket, so I bought a couple of each.

Will pick it up early tomorrow morning, so they can have a few activities at hand on iPad free day.

  • Thanks OP. Picked up all 3.

  • Thanks OP. Great little Christmas gift.

  • the dough set image says 3+ on the box, yet the officeworks description says 12 months. I'm assuming they're all 3+?

    • +1

Yeah, they all are 3+. I have stacks of toys for my 15month old that are labelled 3+. It’s usually due to chocking risks/small parts. My LO has stopped putting non food items in his mouth, but we would be supervising him with things like this. Kids younger than 3 can definitely play with play dough, as long as they don’t eat it, and even then, it’s probably pretty harmless. My LO does painting at daycare, so I figure at home is no different. I’m holding onto the sand until he’s a bit older and won’t unpack the funny faces for the dough yet.

      • thank you for the helpful reply, morse.
