According to kimovil the Global version supports B28 and the Indian version doesn't. This is the European version so… ?!?
https://www.kimovil.com/en/frequency-checker/AU/xiaomi-poco-…
Also every spec I look up for specifically the X3 NFC includes B28
Obviously this listing says no B28 and I wouldn't pay until it was confirmed that was wrong but I think it's wrong.
It does have B28.
Check the Xiaomi site mi.com if ever in doubt for real specs on their phones.
Banggood, Toby Deals and many other sellers dont care much about the specs they provide.
The ones to watch out for are phones that have CN in the description, they have a limited band capability including no B28 because they are intended for the Chinese phone network.
You will see a lot of cheap Note 10's being sold that are CN phones.
I wish Realme 7 pro was of similar price!
I'd probably go with an unlimited supply of money.
What if I told you it kinda is ($418 delivered)
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001580718099.htmlYes, it is a good price, thanks!
What's better about R7P in comparison?
Super AMOLED display is the main thing, + 2GB of RAM and charging is 2x faster and goes from 0-100 in about 30 mins
if i had to buy one i'd get the R7P, not having amoled is a deal breaker for me
Best price I've seen, actually that was due to strong AUD. USD still same 229.9
Exceptional value. This is a very capable phone. My only quibble is that random ads pop up where you're doing things like installing apps.
OP, please stop clicking the "Freebie" tag on each of your deal posts. You have done so for the last 4 Banggood deal posts and they've all required fixing. 10% gst also needs to be included.
No GST with Banggood if you buy thru their app.
wait what?!
What kind of tax dodging loophole is that? lol
Also I think if you use au.banggood.com on a browser, that doesn't charge GST either.
Thanks, that's a good trick. I've updated the URL to use the .au.banggood domain
how long you wait for it to ship?
I'm seeing $313.56 Delivered, removing the shipping insurance. GST is included already in the price.
Yeah me too, not sure where OP is getting $330 ish from.
Opinions, please?
I bought my daughter the TCL Plex when it came bundled with the BT headphones (which she also loves!). Unfortunately, it slipped from her hands and of course it cracked the corner with the camera (of course it did-grrr). Now, the screen protector, which was holding it al in tact, is pulling away, so new phone time.
My only gripe on the Plex was NO actual covers available. I mean a cover for that phone, not a generic.
Is this Poco or the other (RealMe) going to be the same thing? I'd like to get a good phone, good price that you can buy a cover (possibly a billfold type) for. She's on Boost.
Thanks everyone :)
I am poco x3 nfc user. Upgraded from poco f1. Pretty good phone for this value. Also spigen makes cover for this phone around $20. Bar style not foldable.
yep and the phone comes with a case from some sellers
Oppo A52 - comes with a case and screen protector out of the box. One of our kids has one, does everything he needs.
Huge battery life, and if your daughter does anything more than point n shoot for photos, you can download a GCam APK.
And of course 2 year Oz warranty.
From what I've read, this phone has much better specs than the Oppo, for not much extra price?
I just watched an Android Authority review of this phone and he mentions that ads pop up. Can anyone comment on this ? Do we get them in Australia ? If so, how large or noticeable are they ? Seems to be one of the best value phones out there.
you can turn nearly all of them off without voiding the warranty or connecting this to a computer
Cool. Thanks.
Remove ads instruction
Very, very occasionally (and I haven't fully followed any of the removal guides posted). I'm not too concerned though- planning on putting a custom rom on at some point soon which will obviously fix that.
May want to reconsider as that will certainly break SafetyNet and you can turn all that crap off anyways.
What will break safetynet? The custom rom? That all depends on which you go with. There's plenty of options now (including for the X3) that have selinux set as enforcing, shouldn't have any safetynet issues there.
And even with selinux set as permissive, there's tricks / hacks that will allow you to pass safetynet as well.
@mr626: Not for long and not forever. custom rom = no safety net on most devices.
Is it the same product as this popular deal?
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/587020I'm just curious if it's the same, this deal only got 20 upvotes so far, yet the previous deal got 110? Seems it's the same item? Why not as popular now?
It's just the effect of the deal being posted on Black Friday/ Cyber Monday on Nov 30 and we have many more users online during that period,
I've had my one of these for a couple of months now. Very happy with it overall- like another poster for me it was an upgrade from a Poco X1. It does everything well, and the stock rom isn't too bad really (but there's good custom rom support, growing by the day- see https://forum.xda-developers.com/f/xiaomi-poco-x3-nfc-roms-k… ).
It's a big, chunky phone (especially with the included case, which I'm using). And I find that the speakerphone could be louder. Other than that, can't fault it.
First thing I am always checking before buying a phone is ROM support now! Lesson is learnt the hard way :)
Bought one, turned out $309 + $3 shipping = $312 not $304 though. Still a killer price
Bought one, time to retire the ol' redmi note 4x
Does no one know this answer? Do you not use covers?
Nillkin makes cases and protection accessories for the phone
http://nillkin.org/smartphones-accessories/xiaomi-phones-acc…So does Ringke and Spigen
https://www.progadgets.com.au/spigen-xiaomi-poco-x3-nfc-rugg…
https://www.ringkestore.com/products/xiaomi-poco-x3-nfc-case…You can buy them from pretty much any market place, eBay / Aliexpress or Amazon.
So for Australia and wanting B28, we need to buy the "Other Area" version?
No.
Both versions have B28.So which is the best version to buy?
My preference would be the euro version.
Do a google search for other opinions as to why. Up to you.
Other than the RealMe's screen + 2GB more RAM—
are camera's basically the same quality?
what is the performance difference from 720 RM vs 732 Poco?
Run away from Banggood as a plague. They are not the same company before China restrictions from about a year ago when I ordered 3 phones and all came in on time in perfect condition.
I ordered Poco x3 back in September it never came to my door.
Then they tell me they will refund half a price???
Its a scam i went to my bank to ask for chargeback 3 months after. They ask for post office claim from australia post even tough they use private chinese carier who has nothing to do with Australia post.
Anyone know if the "other area" version will work with Optus 4g and does it have the Google Play store?
Is it worth getting shipping insurance?
Nah, Pay with PayPal. Then PayPal is your insurance!
Cheers OP, I got the 64GB version for $247.25 delivered including cash rewards.
Just received mine. 3 weeks to the day delivery. Arrived in perfect condition. Well packed.
Matched it with this case
https://www.ringkestore.com/products/xiaomi-poco-x3-nfc-case…
Looks cool . Slightly heavy but not a deal-breaker unless you're a tradie etc.
Fast and 120 hz refresh is well… Refreshing.
Recommended by me.. A numpty. 🤪
No 28, that's Telstra out right?
