Private Health Cover South Australia

Hi from Adelaide…
I use HIF https://www.hif.com.au/
Your Health Fund doesn't need to be in SA (most aren't).
It is a highly regulated industry with standardised products,
Go for the one which offers the best joining deal (eg, 6 weeks free). Make sure you read the T&Cs of the offer.
To keep costs down, you can keep churning to new offers, without having to re-serve waiting periods.
Avoid Bupa, Medibank and HCF. According to the Cth Ombudsman, they have the worst complaint levels in the industry. See p 8 of this report https://www.ombudsman.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0020/112…
What about their top tier family coverage?
Whose top tier family coverage?
It is a highly regulated industry with standardised products.
Each provider's offers are directly comparable with other providers.

You could have just said you're not familiar with it.
@AustriaBargain: I have no idea what you're referring to, I don't think you do either.
All the best with your search.

Yes, but also look to the market share. Medibank have 27% market share, but only 21% of complaints and 17% of disputes. That's actually a very good outcome.
There are some smaller ones on there whose complaint and dispute ratios against their overall size look pretty grim.
What you say is certainly true.
However, I have found that Medibank benefits tend to be lower. After all, it is a for profit insurer.
There are other reports which detail the percentage of premiums returned as benefits to policyholders. The non-profit (member owned) funds tend to come out on top.
I don't have time at this minute to find one of those reports.
Medicare - The best value health cover.
I familiarised mtyself with them all and found some offer better value more cover for less. Frank was not one of those. have a look at Aami and Qantas. Get quotes and check what you get
saw a good one in south australia, health partners, great prices. A box came up even offering me 6 weeks free. $300 gift card for families by dec 31, has no excess for accidents etc, I like the bronze plus.
I signed by 31-12-2020 however, I was advised that only $300 gift card on offer ….
yes it was a seperate popup, saying if I requested a callback I would get 6 weeks free, I never assumed I would get both
they are now saying join by Jan 31st and get 6 weeks free
What feedback do you want? What's Frank like? Or what other health insurance is good in SA? What type of cover you getting? Hospital and Extra? What sort of services you looking to claim? What's your criteria? What do you want to know?
I'm with Frank, but don't live in SA. Frank's membership card is green.
