First post.
Saw the other day 30% off post for this but this one seems to be a bit cheaper at $51 for 5L from Repco. LL version not the A3/B4 which can usually be found at the mid 30's mark.
35% off Castrol Edge Full Synthetic 5L 5W-30 LL $51 @ Repco

Title price in.
They've only been a member for just over 2 years. Give them time…
I'll wait when it his the $30 odd mark.
This is Catrol though…
Unlikely to find it sold elsewhere…
Pets Domain?
You'll be waiting a while for the 10L to be at that price.
for the LL?
He's got Buckley's.
What's so special about the LL version though?
I'm quite happy changing my oil every 12 months, wouldn't leave it longer.
Low SAPS for Volkswagen/Audi/VAG vehicles.
Only thing I see on the Castrol website is that this LL version is compatible with diesel vehicles that have a particulate filter. The normal Edge while also compatible with petrol and diesel vehicles doesn’t mention compatibility with DPFs.
Oh, if it is special for VW vehicles then you should probably buy three or four 5 litre containers as they seem to burn about a litre per thousand kms which is supposedly normal according to VW dealers.
So thousands of VW owners are supposedly driving around with half-empty sumps after a few thousand kms?
There certainly were .. but only 0.5 litres per 1000km they consider normal. Actual consumption on many vehicles was significantly more.
VW own service bulletin… note VW standard of 0.5 litres per 1000 km.
“ Customer states oil consumption is higher than the Volkswagen oil consumption standard of up to 0.5 quarts per 600 miles, or 0.5 liters per 1000 km.”

In September, 2014, Audi / Volkswagen agreed to settle an oil consumption lawsuit for owners of the Audi A4, A5, and Q5 with turbocharged engines.
"The lawsuit alleges about 126,000 Audi vehicles have defects in the 2.0L turbocharged engines that caused the vehicles to guzzle oil. The affected vehicles are the 2009-2010 Audi A4 and Audi A5, and the 2011 Audi A4, Audi A5, and Audi Q5 with the engine code of CAEB."Note this was a VW developed engine.
@Foxxster: WERE, in particular cases, being the operative words.
@[Deactivated]: Plenty of vehicles still on the road. Plenty still having excessive oil consumption issues which according to VW 0.5 litres of oil loss per 1000 km is normal. Which of course it isn’t and never has been. But that’s VW for you.
Here are 2019 Jetta owners having the same issue and getting the same fob off from VW.

And a class action lawsuit.

I wouldn’t drive a VW if you gave me one.
Hardly any stock🤔 might try supercheap to match it haha
Ample stock showing in every store nearby. Popped into one today & its there on shelf.
Note also the 0w-40 (A3/B4) specified by BMW for performance models is also on discount - first time I have ever seen it discounted to this level.
Also don't forget to stack your local car membership and cashrewards for a few extra off.
Might have been unlucky with my particular purchases but I've never been able to get further discounts on sale items via NRMA or Ignition membership. Their website does many odd things at times though so always worth a try.
System won't stack SYCS on specials afaik.
