Same price at JB hifi, though up until 2 days ago price was $248. These have some really great reviews for budget studio monitor speakers.
Note: these also have a newer model 104BT with bluetooth.

Do they produce sufficient bass and mids? I know they are small speakers though.
I bought a pair, very surprised with how accurate the sound is compared to the headphones I've been using for music production, bass seems great and overall volume and clarity is amazing for the price. Plus I like the small form factor, running out of desk space regardless.
If you're making German trance EDM the bass may not rattle your windows, but again for this price….
Are you using them for production or hifi?
I am about to make this purchase, can anyone confirm how is the bass? I prefer High volume and kick for the small room and/ or as additional speakers for TV, which give life to some action movie.
Frequency Range 88Hz - 20kHz
that should tell you all you need to know. They should have had some way to hook a sub?
Further, I can barely believe my eyes when I see the thing has TRS balanced but then spring clips for the extension cables????
Wat.
These are sold as monitors, which aim for a 'neutral' sound (AKA light on the bass if you're used to regular speakers)
Might be better looking for a 2.1 system with a small sub
i'm with you there
but even that 88hz number surprised me but what do you expect from 4.5" and that volume…
Still waiting for the Edifier guys to get the Airpulse A80's in locally.
usd$700 my guy
I'd probably consider a passive version.
The A100's were going for less locally. Check previous deals here - pretty sure it was Skycomp.
Have a pair of these, they're fantastic.
