That was so quick. Seems like they only had one new unit.
Bought one last time, no issues at all.DHL delivered in 2 working days.
Did it come new or "refurbished"?
Mine afaik was new. Had all plastics, tape etc on it and an undamaged box.
All brand New
Mine was brand new
Got a box damaged 65", it was brand new.
Box was slightly damaged.@GoonerAR: my 75" one cardboard box slightly squeezed at one top corner, no visible damaged inside on packaging foam.
Compare to the huge size of the whole box, it's really nothing.
Ahhhh what a tease lol 🤣
Do you still get Warranty with these Box Damaged deals?
Yes, full factory warranty. They are brand new. It’s the “seconds” that Sony sells that’s aren’t new.
Not sure if this meets Ozbargain rules for low stock?
Sony seems to have a awful lot of damaged box's .
There was that ad on Seek from Sony for a 'Box Denting Engineer' recently. Hmmm….
I believe Sony's 'Box Damaged' TV's is a way for Sony to clear out TV's cheaper than retail stores. No marks on my 'Box Damaged' TV
I guess sony can claim some insurance benefit for these the 'Box Damaged TV'.
I bought a cheap Sony once. Damaged box that fell off the back of a truck.
Mine was DOA. Took 3 weeks to arrive. They’ve taken 2 weeks to respond to the support request and now want me to send it back any wait until Feb to receive a new one. Support is horrific you’d be much better off paying 2900 and getting it from JB-HiFi or similar where you can get it things sorted out.
Will JB Hifi do a price of $2,900 after Black Friday sales?
I did exactly this at jb hifi after black Friday sales (cost of TV 2900, Perth) used discounted gift cards from TCN and saved 400 (essentially paid 2500) also they had no stock available but it came within 5days of ordering
That's good to know! Might spend the next two weeks loading up on zippay to get a TV
Unfortunately i've had to deal with Sony support also. They have one of the worst after sales support i've ever come across.
I'm really in need of a new TV but have decided to wait till next year. Hdmi 2.1 is still not on enough models, and supply is thin of those that have it.
Still not enough games to even justify 2.1, 2.0 will do 120Hz at 1080P.
Oos. Not sure why to bother.
