  • I cancelled a month ago when the yearly fee was coming up, would've stuck around for this…

    • Depending on how long it's been you can usually uncancel it if you call them up

      • I would imagine I'd be out of the running for this by the time it got reactivated.

        • I think reversing the cancellation would be a pretty quick process, you never know until you try

          • @jlien: True, but because the offer has gone out already. Its a bit of a risk if you get stuck with a $375 fee and no offer.

  • Anyone know if there is a manual link to register for the offer, or do they not do that anymore. Recently signed up to the card but don't have the offer showing in my card.

  • Shame not available for existing card holders with different brand.

    • it's clearly a virgin centric offer, why would they offer it to other cards?

      • True. I always wanted an AMEX Virgin but their signup deals don't apply to me as I am an existing cardholder with another brand (eg: David Jones AMEX).

  • Seems like they are doing this with the Qantas cards too. I just checked mine and it has 450$ back on Qantas holidays/wine/flights/rewards.

  • Yep got this, sweet!

  • This is awesome! Should get me a few domestic flights. So good.

  • Thanks OP. I just paid annual fee last month and was feeling a little regretful.

Any ideas on lowest spend ? I'll start researching

    • ^ignore me, i misunderstood and thought its a cashback offer

  • Doesn't cover the cost of a return flight for cardholders in WA wanting to fly East.

    • Combine with the Spend $400 on anything, get $100 cashback offer from the other day and it's not too bad.

  • Any way to spend this amount other than flights or wine? Not sure when I will fly next and my card is expiring in a month.

    • You can book 330 days ahead.

  • Has anyone been able to manually add the offer to their card?

  • Got the offer does anyone know if it has to be used in the one transaction? As in can I book multiple flights that add up to the full amount?

  • I bought some wine and 20 bottles of beer. Arrived today to find out 18 of the beer are out of date! They have best before date as 09/20.It says 'best before'. Not sure if they going to argue that this does not count as out of date.

  • Anyone know if I placed the order over the phone will the statement credit still show up from past experiences?

I was on the Velocity wine online page and it would not take me to the payment page after I completed the Address page for some reason, so i called to place the order.

    Thanks!

  • has anyone bought a egift and received the credit?

    • I don’t believe Virgin are selling gift cards anymore unfortunately (not sure about Virgin Wines though), this was my first thought too!

  • +1

Seems that this $375 credit is in replacement of the standard complimentary flight (if you didnt use it) last year due to COVID19.

Has anyone else experienced this? $375 would be a downgrade since a free flight has no $ limit

Curious if anyone used their complimentary flight last year AND received this $375 offer?

    • +1

Think it was only targeted to those who hadn’t yet redeemed their flights through the compflight.virginaustralia.com link in 2020.

Interestingly my card renewal date has passed since posting this offer, and I still have this cash back offer saved to my card as well as the ability to book a new return flight using the compflight.virginaustralia link. Now just have to actually plan a trip…

      • Thanks for the info Tom, hope you can book it before they remove it!

  • Contact the Amex and they confirmed ,$375 statement credit for customers who did not redeem redemption flight 2020 year and also expire by 31/3/2021
