  • Any deals on the Ender 3 printer?

    • Sorry no. People say Sovol SV01 is essentially an Ender 3 with direct drive and larger build area and often described as "what the Ender 3 Pro should have been". If you like the SV01, it is getting US$30 off original price. And the auto-leveling one with larger build volume - SV03 - is available now in Sovol's Sydney warehouse. Thank you.

      • Is that what they say now heyyy 😂

      • What bits and pieces what you recommend as a 'starter kit'? I have never had a 3D printer before, and might start with simple silly things like toys for our birds, or a stand for a centre TV speaker. Thank you.

        • Sorry didn't mean to neg you, accidently clicked on it now its greyed out.

Can't go wrong with Ender 3. It will take some time to assemble and levelling, but the rewards are great. I recommend getting a glass bed and some good quality bed springs, that will take some pain out of levelling every time. There are also plenty of mods available, so you can slowly keep upgrading your kit.

The filaments are not expensive, and you can choose how much infill you want. So running costs are very low.

        • gave a +. Everything is balanced once more ☯

        • For some people especially who are new to 3D printing, assembling and leveling 3D printer can be frustrating. You can go for a 95% pre-assembled and auto-leveling 3D printer as your 'starter kit'. Sovol's new product SV03 might be one of your choices: https://sovol3d.com/products/sv03

Explain how you get away with not including GST?

      Is that you Gerry?

  • How does this hold up against a glass bed?

"The steel springs back nicely, and the surface really grips. Even held on to some abs I printed, with no prep. NONE.
I did have to set the bed temp a little higher on my ender because of the magnet not transferring all the heat, but I expected that. I even took the plate off and clipped it to an anet 8 (the plate IS a little too big for that machine) and it worked awesome.
I was going to buy some steel and powder coat my own, but I'm buying another one of these instead."
—- Above is one of the reviews of this product, hope it helps.

Thanks, still not clear. Is it for 3d printing or something?

i am pretty sure it 3D something, you wouldn’t want to buy 2D stuff, it just too flat.
