I haven't been able to use the maccas app either.. It's always freezing in the app. Maybe my phone is doing me a favour..Edit.. I tried again by adding a pizza to my cart first then putting the code in. That worked.

The Half and Half without surcharge for premium pizzas still works also, so can select H&H and choose both sides as premium options and it's still $8.

CLICK HERE TO FIND OUT WHY!For the uninitiated, how does one do that. Unfortunately it only gives me an option to select traditional. No button for swapping or removing traditional for half and half premium.
When you enter the code in, go "Add Pizza" and then at the bottom of the list of Pizzas there is an option for "Half and Half".
Within that, you will be able to select 2 halves of a pizza and there is a drop down box to select options. These options include Premium Pizzas (such as garlic prawn). Select both halves with premium options and add the Pizza to the cart.

looks like they fixed this… after adding the half-half to cart, it gets removed and tells you you're missing an item when you try to "Finish Order'.

You know what you're getting into, if you want an authentic Italian pizza, go to an authentic Italian restaurant.Pretty premium for $8. My local is particularly generous with ingredients too, which makes the half/half tactic even better

No change allowed, even if you remove an ingredient it still adds $2.95 to the amount.

Saw this in the app earlier, before lunch.
Clicked on the banner/ad part,to add to the cart and it automatically added 2x large traditional and garlic bread and drink for $29.95
Tried it twice,.logged out, logged back in, still couldn't get the $8 deal. Always went to 2 pizzas/$29.95
