  • I noticed EA they do credit check, unlike the others, e.g. originE.

    • so it counts 1 credit enquiry.

      • Depends on if it's a hard pull.

      EA and Origin … hmmm
I bet they have paid DLCs

  • Does this stack with their $75 credit for elec and gas plans?

Energy Australia is not Australian owned. Majority shareholder is from a country we are having diplomatic issues with at the moment.

      You mean China right?

    • Pretty sure they're HK owned…. a bit different

        HK is not China?

This company operates an ageing power station in Victoria, where a highly experienced technician died tragically and horrifically. He happened to be very close to me, so this is not hearsay. Do your research before you put one cent into this company. I won't make any specific accusations here for potential legal reasons but there is already enough credibly reported, without me needing to write anything else. We may be after a bargain but do we want to bargain with lives?

Don't really have a choice where I am. Every company resells only EA. :-(

Be sure to check a site like Canstar first people. (And then check their quoted figures on the top cheapest companies). I did it just yesterday, then I went to the provider's site and it was cheaper again because Canstar quoted outdated figures.

ReAmped came up a couple hundred cheaper than who I'm currently with (Dodo), and a few hundred cheaper than EA. (No point getting a hundred bonu$ only to then pay several hundred more over the year.) Even counting this discount ReAmped is cheaper than EA for me. And by that I mean on every bill. i.e. From bill #2 with ReAmped I'd be saving money over EA.

      • Yes I agree, find the best deal and then consider the special offers.

      • https://www.energymadeeasy.gov.au/ is more reliable for price comparison - it's a government website. You are right; ReAmped is consistently one of the cheapest electricity provider.

Has anyone done this more than once?

I'm moving to a house I just bought in a couple of months, can I signup now with the connection date that far in the future and avail this offer?

So you need to stay with them for at least 180 days? or if you stay for a couple months are you still eligible even if it hasn't confirmed?

    • Was searching for that info. I only need a short term connection. Where did you find the info? Thx

  • If you have already have gas with them, but bring in Electricity, does that still count?

  • Is their solar feed in competitive in QLD?

    • +1

      Not sure, however …

Cashback is not available on solar electricity plans.
