NEOLACAKBUDOLARINHALI

Put.io rarely offer discounts. The below message (translated using google) appears in the chat box after a minute or two when you VPN in via Turkey.

''We are aware that the USD price of Put.io has started to increase a little.
We want to support our users in Turkey from this little face:
You can get 35% discount by using the "NEOLACAKBUDOLARINHALI" coupon code when starting your subscription''

They didn't do a Black Friday or a Cyber Monday sale. No indication how long the discount will be available. Their service is excellent. Click through to
pricing, select plan, enter username and email, leave country as Turkey, apply code, pay with 28 Degree/Latitude Card or similar.

What is Put.io. What we are. We fetch files from many public places at very high speeds, then put them into your digital stash. We are more like the remote version of the "/downloads" directory on your computer. We do the downloading for you and then we serve up the goods to your devices.

Mods please review.

    Same to you buddy

  • Been thinking about using put.io but haven't had a minute to look into it. I have a plex server at home but would like to keep it offsite like is my understanding of put.io. But I need to have private trackers right? I would ideally like a set up of use ombi to find a tv show, then download automatic to plex server and watch on plex.

  • I just don't get the appeal. I don't understand how this would be able to compete with my NAS.

I can access it remotely, I have 24 tb of redundant storage, and I can watch plex on it anywhere I have an internet connection. Sonnar/couch potatoe do all the heavy lifting in the background.

Am I missing something? For 200 USD yearly it seems hella expensive for 1 tb of storage?

      Am I missing something?

Sort of, but it depends what you value.

      For me?

      • what is your offsite backup solution? (Cloud storage kinda makes that question redundant)

      • what is your uplink failover? (You could do 4g, but cost, and UPS life in the case of a blackout; etc),

Since my boss hosts some 4k training videos; he cant fly remotely to learn the single work server has a blackout right now.

Think of its value as being equal to Youtube, but without signing the 'rights' over to youtube.

Some internal documentation, you dont wanna share usage rights with the likes of facebook or google.

To many, thats not value though; you're right.
