Repost my comment from one of the old thread:

I 100% 2 recently (Platinum trophies + 100% DLCs), it actually has really simple gameplay BUT the DLCs add 4 more combat styles that HUGELY helps the game in term of combat, if you start with 2, I reckon get the DLCs straight away and get the new combat style and move on to the main story.

Story is really light, no better or worse than 1, just different.

I actually hate the pokemon system of 1 because of catching monster is completely random. Combat of 1 is actually abit confusing at first.

    • Excellent advice, thank you!

No worries, I think people will do fine without the DLCs, I forgot to mention that the new combat styles will only be accessible about later half of the game so maybe just go along with the story first and see if you like it rather than getting the DLCs straight away.

  • Don’t get why this great game is so cheap!

    • -1

      cheap =/= bad.

  • Just got it at eb for $9 but it was the standard

  • Thank you!!!

  • 😞 I don't own a ps4….

  • I saw the game play and I got confused with the gameplay. Is it a RTS game?

  • Thanks OP, good deal!

  • Thanks OP!

Honestly I bought this edition on launch and kinda regretted it. At $9 it's worthy of a play but it really wasn't anything spectacular. The battle graphics (and music!!) are awesome but the overworld is ugly as all heck, weird RTS battle thing is.. kinda garbage and the city building portion is pretty awful.
I let the game idle for a few hours to generate gold so I could progress enough to finish it, it's a lil grindy.

      Similar thoughts. Real shame.

  • Thanks OP!

  • None in a 200km radius, got the EB one. Might get this again for $10.99

  • Item(s) ready for pick up tomorrow during store opening hours at Lake Haven (73.24km away).

    where is this "lake haven"….

    • Central Coast. About 33ks north of me and I'm still complaining!

  • I loved NNK1!!! Old school RPG. Only made it halfway with NNK2, not bad, still has that similar charm.

Bought this almost 2 years ago for $20, not only have I not played it, I just found it and it's still in the shrink wrap

    • Same boat I’m in. Still in shrink wrap.
      Time poor for games :(

  • Do you have to have played the first one to enjoy/understand the second one?

    • Not really, I think there are some references but other than that, you don't need to have played the first one. I played the second one first and found it better than the first one in terms of combat style.

    • +1

No I played the second one before the first one and really enjoyed both!

  • Not available in SA by the looks of it. Ridiculous.

  • 404 not found

  • Deal hasn't expired… I just picked up a sealed copy from Knox

  • Mine arrived today but the cardboard cover is pretty banged up - steelbook inside is fine though
