hahaha I dont think overlord unicorn was ever about the story. The tactical gameplay was what got me. Great to scratch the Fire Emblem itch while waiting for the next FE game!
All I've done is lower your expectations so you'll enjoy it more
I've only mentioned the bad, there's plenty of good
bought it for $80 when it first came out. no regrets after finishing it 3x ^^! there goes 120hrs of my life.
it's a great game if you like tactical rpgs. it's a no brainer if you like octopath traveller, fire emblem, and similar.I would love to get my hands on the card game from the collectors set.
Also a great game to play on the PlayStation portal if you have one

Really enjoyed it. Overhyped (scenarios in the story are repeated ad nauseum but with different characters each time; characters tend to be flat and undeveloped due to being boring goodies or baddies with little screen time due to the large cast), but still great fun to play
