No Gsync, VA panel, 8 Bit colour.
Not bad, but for an extra $70 to $100 the dell S2721DGF on sale is greatly superior and also includes free delivery. However unlikely to be on sale again until first quarter of next year.
Just saying, plus personally pretty salty at Mwave for the lack of transparency of the RTX raffle launch.

Half of the feedback on the Dell monitor is negative not sure if that is due to poor quality control or just bad engineering. Would you recommend the Xiaomi monitor over this? Seems it offers the best value for what you pay.

It the post times. You dont know if you are waiting a week, 2 weeks or 2 months.

        neither; it's delivery delays.

Sorry then. I must have incorrectly remembered the model of the monitor. I was after a 4k 144hz monitor on their website and a lot of people were complaining about light leaks.

@Winston100s: there is no need to sorry about. I don't own any shares at Dell LOL

          • @Winston100s: The S2721DGF tends to have bad contrast and terrible backlight bleed / IPS glow. Those being the only downsides of that monitor.

            • @papachipi: Would you recommend the Xiaomi monitor that gets posted here over the Dell?

              • @Winston100s: if you're talking about the 34" ultrawide I just got one this week via the Kmart deal. Very happy with it, especially for the price. The contrast and blacks are better than my old IPS. I guess the "performance" aspect is not as good as IPS but I can't notice it.

Was good to get from Kmart, too. First one had a dead pixel and I took it back for a refund no worries. I see Dell and other manufacturers require you to have a certain number of pixels dead before you can return it.

                • @Mudflap: Awesome, wanted some feedback on the monitor, sounds as a good deal. Will order it next time it goes on sale.

                • @Mudflap: Dell Premium Panel Exchange allows a free panel replacement during the Limited Hardware Warranty period even if only one bright pixel is found.

              • @Winston100s: Yeah it depends whether or not you want Ultrawide. I personally like a flat panel so I'd go with the Dell.

              • @Winston100s: I believe the Xiaomi monitor uses the same VA panel as this Gigabyte monitor. Apparently the stand on the Xiaomi is adjustable and better quality if that matters to you for a slightly higher price. Tim from Hardware Unboxed on YouTube has done a decent review of these monitors

                • @Solrak: @Sorlak The Xiaomi is advertised as an IPS panel

                  • @Winston100s: The Xiaomi 34" Ultra wide most definitely a VA panel my friend has just bought two from Kmart

    • I think from Dell you are paying for a computer monitor which hasn't even been manufactured yet. Hence the multiple weeks or a few months wait for delivery.

    • VA panel

Not a knock in its own right, but this is a decidedly average VA panel in the midst of a VA panel refresh, which makes it very average for high refresh rate gaming.

don't trust mwave stock levels, in the past 2 weeks i've been burnt twice for items that said " in stock at mwave" only to have orders cancelled or eta pushed back by few weeks

    • Trust. We've 300 units coming this week

      • Would've been nice if your '' IN STOCK AT MWAVE '' 1tb 980 pro ssd also had a lot of units, don't list items as in stock then randomly create an ETA that is 2 weeks away.

I could have ordered the item at another store if you guys would've been honest upfront with your inventory system

Then why does it currently say in stock at Mwave.

If the units are still on order and still yet to be delivered to Mwave from the distributor. Then it's not currently in stock. That's totally deceptive.

It's not in stock until such a time as the stock actually arrives from the distributor into the warehouse and is processed as so.

  • How does this compare with DellS2721QS? I cant decide whether to return the dell one and get this. I know dell is 4K but would gaming on this be better?

    • This one would be a lot better as it is 165Hz vs 60Hz

  • 1 dollar cheaper @ centre com

  • I bought this monitor around 1 month ago it isn't a good monitor I'm experiencing really bad screen flicking Video

    • Did you try turning off the Gsync on Nvidia control panel? I got a similar problem on a AOC FreeSync monitor and turning Gsync off solved it.

      • I haven’t tried that I’ll give it a go

      • Thanks that seems to have helps the screen flicking issue although some things are a little darker than I would of expected.
