similar shape of the mx master, iykyk, but actually performs pretty well considering the price, i had one as a backup/spare for my other setup, good for day to day office work and casual gaming

But the name suggests they might be poo
It's at least cheap for what you get.
Unfortunately, i do think the rubber they use for the hand grip does degrade - it starts flaking after about 3 yrs of constant use. It still works, but you get a bit of black powder on your thumb, esp. if your hands are sweaty.
knees weak, arms are heavy
A $40 mouse doesnt last 5 years? Did you leave negative reviews anywhere? /s
PS My (way more expensive) MX Master 3s has degraded too after like a year.
@nikoris: have mx master but will try the rapoo for work, i’d hate to,loose the mx master at work and we hot desk so if you forget on day it’s gone in the morning.
@garage sale: Someone stealing it or the cleaners throwing it away?
Who's stealing a used mouse? yuck.
Its Indian that’s why its rapoo
I've got this one, I kinda wish the thumb buttons stuck out more and were less stiff on mine, and the scroll wheel is very stiff and grabby on mine. Otherwise it was quite good.
This is good mouse. I use for 8 year now, battery bad but I change battery for $30 from Aliexpress and now not working, maybe I buy wrong battery but when working it was good.
Just buy a new mouse for $39 instead of a new battery for $30.
I know but Ozbargain Platinum Membership will be at risk. I try to get high yield returns from all my purchasers. This time I fail because I damage mouse but 8 year not bad. Only issue no resale value so can't get some percentage back to reinvest in new mouse.
If you buy this then it's basically the mouse for $8.99 so you will instead upgrade to OzBargain Diamond Membership.
"iykyk" = "If you know you know"
Now we know
I thought op was choking mid sentence
Thanks. I thought it was a typo or the op sneezed and pressed a few buttons while posting
How is the scrolling wheel? The only reason I buy a Logitech is for the quick scrolling wheel.
On the full sized one I got it was incredible just how awful it was. Scrolling would cause a button click to register for vertical scroll, and the horizontal scroll wheel is not in an ergonomic spot.
Because of the vertical scroll issue, they replaced it with the previous model (URGH, USB micro connector) , which at least worked as intended.
I've learned my lesson & will pay extra for Logitech again in the future
Thanks for the review. No way I would buy if the scrolling wheel is like that, what a nighmare.
The scrolling wheel is very bad, it doesn't have the smooth functionality as the Logitech one. I bought this mouse but didn't use it often since the scrolling wheel is very annoying. Wouldn't recommend if you use the scrolling wheel a lot like myself.
Literally replaced my Mx Master 3s with this one. It has many flaws (and i mean many) but the in-hand feel and the silent clicks are game-changing for me, this mouse feels so much better in hand than the Logitech.
Tell us about the flaws please
Replaced my 3 with this after it started flashing red.
Only thing I can fault on this is the scroll wheels, very basic and cheap feeling compared to logitech but nothing game breaking.
Does this suit larger or smaller hands? It says "mini" but the description says it's for larger hands.
Wondering the same too. Been using MX 3S and MX Vertical, I prefer to have bigger size mouse…
Not fan of stolen designs. They should do their own R&D.
There's a reason why they clone the Logitech form factors, because they work…
they are limited number of designs that work, some others are hoping for a sale for just being different. the logitech is very much in shape like a 17 year old gigabyte i had and finally died, so innovation does have limits, that said copies face challenges in quality, so it’s more than just copying a shape.
I agree, but I am getting conflicting positions here on ozbargain.
On one side, you have people who don't GAF about morals or ethics as long as its a bargain, and will hate you for pointing that out.
Is this a joke? Similar designs exis everywhere, phones, cars, TVs, you name it.
It's just…a mouse??Have a look at the Logitech MX series mouse and report back.
Copy is a copy whether it's a phone, car or TV. Chinese companies are notorious for blatant copying and doing IP theft.
Why are you so butthurt for truth being pointed out? Unless of course you're one of the CCP apologist.
Who cares if the design is similar? Has been happening forever and it will happen forever.
Have a look at the Logitech MX series mouse and report back.
I replaced my MX master 3s with the Rapoo because i personally find it better. You're trying to fight a non-existent fight. There's no 'IP theft'
Has been happening forever and it will happen forever.
Wrong doesn't becomes right because it has happened before. It still remains wrong.
@dealhunter52: As I said, you're just a rebel without a cause. You're miles away from it.
Someone made cell phones first. Then someone made them play music, then someone put a camera on them. Then a selfie. ETC.
All others 'stole it'?Please. it's not wrong.
@nikoris: No one copies exact same design as Chinese do. This is not the first time either.
Why don't they use their own brain and ingenuity?
Shameless copying is slap in the face of genuine innovation and design.
@dealhunter52: Mate like I've said, this is ozbargain where people don't GAF as long as it's cheap, and hate it if you point out the obvious. A high proportion of Chinese users as well, based on the mental gymnastics / voting to defend products with IP theft from China / Chinese vehicles here / lesson the shame for copying you'd cop outside of China / deflections and whataboutisms etc.
In the end, this product is a Temu Logitech MX Master as the OP has claimed. You wouldn't want to be seen with one in public if you have some sense of… pride? shame? Don't know the best word here. But you've saved yourself $80 and your hands are happy, hopefully, be happy, you've scored yourself a "bargain" "MX Master".
Makes me wonder… Why is this deal a deal, when it's not the original. If it eas the original, 100% it's a deal. But this is a copy which makes it cheaper in the first place.
most smart phones look and feel the same to me when the screen is locked, not much to innovate, it’s more evolve in increments.
Ma'am this is a bargain website.
@Munki: Yes there is. It matter whether it's only Chinese made or also Chinese owned and Australians do care about whether product is genuine or a rip-off copy.
It is especially relevant when Chinese warships are doing live-fire exercise in Australian waters, diverting all the flights.
Don't know how I feel about this type of thing. Obviously great that its cheap, but blatant IP theft isn't really cool :/
Isn't that basically half the deals here?
Using the standard one now. Except for fast scrolling, which I don't often use with the Logitech MXs, this one is as good for a fraction of the price.
So my only issue with the Logitech MX3 is that you need to install the software to customise the buttons…and of course my workplace doesn’t allow that on my work laptop.
If these clones can keep the button mapping stored in the mouse itself without needing software always running in the background, this would be amazing (eg. Set up the mapping on personal computer with the software installed, then switch mouse to work computer).
sounds like an area they can innovate in vs just copy shape.
Mr Hankey, the mouse you got as a present.
For those that have an MX Master that's plastic is degrading and is looking for a hard shell mouse with a similar scroll to MX master and a horizontal scroll, I've moved to the Keychron M6.
Pros
-lighter in hand
-Does not degrade after use, should last much longer without feeling gross
- great accurate sensor
Cons
-Software is not as feature rich as Logitech
-Scroll wheel is plastic, not metal. Does not have quite as much momentum as the Master
-No button layersThe black version seems to be out of stock everywhere here in Victoria.
input lag, when waking from sleep, extremely annoying, worth paying the extra $50 for MX Master.
Oh really? I got one and haven't experienced this,
Any deals on a similar model without the horizontal scroll wheel?
Had a Rapoo wireless keyboard mouse combo. Mouse died after 3 months, keyboard lasted 6.
Have this, love it, big fan of rapoo mouse and keyboard combos
