Although out of stock, this is a great deal on an overclock 9th Gen i7.

Yeah def not worth for me having to upgrade motherboard too.
10600kf much better proposition at similar price
this is just offloading old stockIsn't 10600 6 core and this is 8?
9700k is 8 cores 8 threads
10600kf is 6 cores 12 threads
The better choice would depend heavily on the specific use case, however I think in terms of gaming performance they're almost dead even. Go with the 10600kf if you want an upgrade path.
Does it make sense to upgrade from 8500 to this?
Also interested in a response to this.
i.e. is it worth upgrading CPU retaining existing mobo, or are we better off upgrading both cpu+mobo under new architecture
Should I upgrade from my 8700k to this?
nah 8700k is fantastic chip easily overclockable to 5 ghz it still trades blows with todays top chips across the benchmarks its just not worth upgrading unless you need more cores and threads for business use
i have 8700k and im a couple of years away from upgrading, i just have no need for a faster chip
Would this be much of an upgrade over a 7700 non k? Used mostly for gaming and a little bit of Adobe Premier Pro.
My order has been cancelled by Amazon, no reason provided. Anybody same?
Kinda tempted if I can offload my 8600k for $150-200. Then again i don't reaaally need it. Nah, not worth it when I only game at 1440P. Good price tho!
