Pretty sure they haven't received enough per-orders for the amount they had shipped in so a last minute price drop would be my guess before they ship out on 02/12/2020

Not a fan of the Hobbit films so only ordered the Lord of the rings. The reviews online state that these are the best 4k HDR movies to date. So if you want something to test out those new high end TV's on then there's literally nothing better then these 4k Disks.

      • If I find one in store tomorrow, I'll cancel my preorder.

    • Same here. Might just cancel my order and download it. I only bought this version as the steelbook version is unavailable.

  • I ordered the deal before i posted it here and i still wont be receiving anything until mid December "maybe"

I'm going to try my luck at a store tomorrow and cancel my online order… Not sure if i can get it for that price tomorrow because the 30% off sale ends today

  • It's pretty stupid when stores have copies available…

  • Don't want to overhype this but

"But here’s the thing: I’ve been reviewing Blu-ray and DVD quality professionally now for twenty-three years on The Digital Bits, and 4K Ultra HD quality for the last four of those years. And I don’t think I’ve ever seen a 4K remaster that made quite this much of a difference over a previous Blu-ray release before."

"So is Warner’s new 4K Ultra HD remaster worth your time? Unquestionably. At the risk of beating a dead Warg, no matter how much of a fan you are of these films, you have never seen them looking or sounding this good before. These are near reference quality 4K image presentations, and they are absolutely reference quality Dolby Atmos mixes. I’m really blown away by the work Peter Jackson and his Park Road Post have done here to rebuild these films from the ground up in 4K. "

  • I responded to the email I got asking about it showing stock in stores and asking for a refund of the delivery costs. They advised they have no stock left anywhere in the company and agreed to refund my delivery costs ($11.98).

    • Why was your delivery so expensive?

EDIT: You must have got both sets. I might request a refund for my $5.99 shipping too for LOTR.

      • Yes you are correct, I got both. They only refunded $5.99 for the one delayed set.

  • Email from JB today:

"We are reaching out to you today regarding your online order and the previously advised ETA we have from the supplier for our shipment of the LOTR TRILOGY EXTENDED+THEATRICAL UHD, which is currently expected to arrive at our Online Distribution Centre Mid December.

We are currently following this up to ensure we are still on track to receive our shipment within this timeframe however, this may be subject to change due to stock availability and constraints. Should we receive any further updates regarding any delays with this product, we will be in touch to let you know."

  • Finally received my copy of LOTR yesterday - it looks so good :)

    • I went to grab a copy from JB in store on Xmas Eve, and they had just pulled their copies from the shelf and removed it from the website. The guy in store told me they had essentially been recalled due to a disc error. Has anyone had any issue with their copy?

      • I've watched the extended version of each movie and encountered no issues…

      • +1

Disk error = A miss print on one of the disks. … The colours on one of the disks does not match the other two of the same movie.

        • same happen on mine , its the part 1 of return of the king, it says disc error, but when i reload it again its ok,. but i will email jb in regards on this, cos 4 out of 5 reload it says disc error.

  • There's a couple in stock at JB Hi-Fi Malaga. Was finally able to pick up a copy. Good luck!
