  You get what you pay for. That's why most Rivers stores are in working class suburbs and no longer in shopping centers. Pure Garbage.

  And the misogynistic owner Philip Harry Goodman is up on sexual harrassment charges, so why pay for his defense. Just pity his wife.

      I think the word to bear in mind is "Allegedly"

      other words to bear in mind are "history of bipolar disorder and suffered a range of ailments and conditions during her time with Rivers, including alcohol abuse."

        seems that it has been acknowledged, and the 'mental illness' was caused by him.

        Yes, we shall see next year what the court finds, however expect Rivers to settle this one out of court…with a pair of cheap socks perhaps?

        hmmm…. this was a work cover claim….. would have worked out cheaper to pay out than fight through court I would imagine.

        WorkCover initially rejected her claim, arguing that the allegations of bullying and harassment were unsubstantiated and that her condition was related to pre-existing mental illness.

        I suspect they might come back tapping on her door if her allegations are unproven….

    What are you on about? I bought 20 odd pairs last time and they've been absolutely fine!
    $20 for 20 pairs! Go to Myer and buy a pair of black socks, you'd be lucky to get 5c change from $10…
    So Collins Street CBD and DFO Spencer St are working class now?

  Seems like the Police think that there is enough evidence to take him to court.

  I for one will not be paying for his defense with $1 socks!

    The Yarra crime investigation unit is understood to have investigated allegations that Goodman grabbed the woman's left breast while she was driving in October 2009. He allegedly said: ''They are fine.''

    I guess without the specifics, it still remains a 'he said - she said' case….. it's not for the police to decide who is lying….

      yes, though it is very interesting to see who seems to be making the more outrageous claims. His statements about her seem outlandish, while her claims seem to be more believable about what very rich people in his position get up to. They become a law unto themselves.

      It will be very interesting to see if his wife walks away with 65% of his 'empire'.

      What is also interesting is that he is using the same lawyers the McInnes used in the DJ case!
