  • Fudge.
Still waiting for delivery of this order .. (which they called and said was a back order due to waiting for a container to come in)
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/574488
Apparently its on the truck… for 3 days now to go 1 suburb… hmmm.

  • Does it auto feed the line?

    • +1

No, this model is the manual feed but it's still a simple system, put the line through the 2 holes and pull the line through equal length and then just wind the head

      • It works pretty well - mine (which is four or so years old now) is still pretty robust

  • Tempting. The battery on its own is $349. This deal includes the older style battery, without the 5-LED battery meter "fuel gauge".

    • Im tempted to buy it for the battery, but cant justify it as my battery is still fine and my other stuff is all ryobi

    • +1

I bought this deal, and the included battery had the circular 5 LED meter.

  • thanks picked one up.

  • Thanks bought one

  • Thanks OP. Just picked one up.

  • How does this compare to the line trimmer on the multitool?

    • They are very similar, they have the same rapid reload head. Really comes down to if you require some of the multitool attachments or not. Annoyingly they don't sell the trimmer attachment in a kit and it retails for about $200. Having said that if you were after the pole saw then I think this is a good value option https://www.totaltools.com.au/151492-ego-56v-pole-saw-multi-… as you get the polesaw, extension, edger attachment, 2.5ah battery, rapid charger and multitool head for $700, then purchase the trimmer attachment and get the bonus 2.5ah battery via redemption.

  • +1

Got this and 52cm Ego push mower. Total just above $1200, so will be claiming my extra free 5.0ah battery. Gonna be a fun weekend ahead!

  • It doesn't say if it will take a blade, assume not.

    • Na it wont but people have done after market attachments

  • +2

Thanks OP, bought one. Been waiting for a good line trimmer!

  • is this good for mowing small areas such as 10 square meters?

    • Hand is best option for 10 square meters

      • What like with scissors?

        • Not efficient.

    • Trimmers are never a good option for mowing as youll get different heights of stuff. If you are talking about lawn grass.

  • Meh, just got an email 11 days after ordering saying no stock

    Pretty poor form

First and last time with this crowd, on the black list

    • That's a bugger mate, poor indeed
