Totally understand that dehumidifiers are a bit left field but I can not recommend Ausclimate enough. When we moved into our new house we found there was a real bad musty smell and the curtains were extremely mouldy. The cause - horrible ventilation.
We bought the 35L and throughout winter we kept dehumidifier on pretty much 24/7 and man does it make a difference with our kitchen. It cleans the air, removes dampness. It's particularly good for drying clothes and the water it sucks out of the air gets dumped into a removable tank that I pour onto indoor plants. Going to get the 50L one for my garage.
I can't vouch for appliances online as I bought directly from Ausclimate… But can definitely vouch for Ausclimate dehumidifiers. See for yourself. Google "dehumidifiers reviews", then go to product reviews and you can see what Australians chose as their favourite dehumidifiers.
    Bang bang!

    • Wouldn't watering indoor plants continue your problem?

Do you use a humidity meter? What readings you do get? <50% after using a dehumidifier?

I live in a hour that suffers from intermittent moisture issues, on average it is 70%
We use a dehumidifier when it hits 80%+

      Thanks
