otherwise people think they are FREE
and they will come and read and give you negsssssss

  • Pretty good value from a quick google, myShopping.com.au lists the Jug at around $30 at its cheapest(didn't check shipping) and a 3 pack of the replacements is around $30

so in Theory could add up to $90 for the whole set? so could be potentially more than 50% saving if I have found the cheapest prices…

but damn… those replacements are expensive… puts me off the whole 'bargain'

    • These 6 filters will last you over a year. So $40 for unlimited filtered drinking water supply for a year is very cheap.

You can't know how long 6 filters will last everyone.

        • Well, I see you have never owned a Brita jug, they advise you to change after a period of time, not the amount of water filtered.

    • These are normally $39.95 for 3x replacements and a jug at the retail stores when they have their specials. This is a bargain especially when you can use each filter 2x to 3x because the timer continuously runs down so doesn't take into consideration time when the filter isn't in use. No issues here with doing it like that.

  • funny it doesnt say how big it is??! REP?

  • i think 6 filters for $40 is cheap… not considering the jug that comes with it.

Got this from the same deal half a year ago. It's very good value but it's such a shame that Brita don't offer equivalent deals on just the filters and I suspect many of the jugs are being discarded when they are still serviceable.

how big is the jug REP? Also do the filters have an expiration date?? (ie. can they sit there for a few years in the cupboard?)

    Thanks

From the website: BRITA Marella Cool Jug = 1.4L filtered water capacity, 2.4L total capacity

      • thanks ohsnap, how about the filters do they expire if sealed?

  • What benefit does filtered water have?

    • +2

imo, the most important thing is that some ppl think its tastes nicer. all the other stuff about cleaner water is pretty arbitrary imo as our water is pretty good anyway

We live in a rental which has old pipes, and there is some sort of white powdery stuff in the water. It makes it taste funny and is psychologically unpleasant. Filter will fix :)

    • And it's better to filter tap water than buy bottled - not only for the environment, but because tap water has added fluoride and other minerals.

  • i still havent finsihed mine from last time, but will buy again and give to my parents as xmas present. I use to think tap water and filtered water taste the same…boy i am so wrong…try it for yourself….you got nothing to lose its only $40. if you dont like it, at least keep the jug!

  • Definitely a good price. Each filter sells for about 10-13$ at Kmart and Big W.
Used this product for a year and water tastes better.

  • Good bargain, just ordered one as I also have a Brita cask and can use the filters for that

  • thanks - just ordered 2.

  • No doubt it is a good deal ….

cheapest place for filters is Big w

6 filters without jug is $45
