How does this differ from dometic ones, is it the same/similar in terms of technology?
Yes, mostly similar, but this particular model uses a cheaper knock off of the better quality and more efficient SECOP (formerly DANFOSS) compressors used in most Dometic/Waeco models.
Warranties are usually shorter on models with these knock off compressors, but they seem to work pretty well these days.
For QLDers who can pick up from Evacool HQ, these and a couple of other models are 50% off and they also come with a cover almost for free (they actually changed me $15 shipping on the cover for some bloody reason).
