TABASCO Pepper Sauce products are made by the McIlhenny Company, founded by Edmund McIlhenny in 1868 on Avery Island, Louisiana. It was here that he developed the recipe for TABASCO Red Pepper Sauce that's been passed down from generations. To this day, the company is still family-owned and operated on that very same site.

Yeah i like it, it's got a nice flavour to it. I don''t find it more spicy or anything.
Ta. Is it as vinegary as the original?
Not vinegary, swap that taste with more of a fruity harbinger taste. It kind of comes out thicker too like the chipotle so it can block the bottle.
yep I buy it all the time from woolies, good on eggs. It isn't really all that hot. I wish they actually sold some of the other varieties here in AU, would love to give them a try.
Cheaper at Costco
What's the price there?
$8.99 for 350mL
Ta.
@RSmith: Still a good deal if you don't consume a lot of Tabasco :)
Personally go through a bottle every 4ish months so Costco is good for me.Still a good deal if you don't consume a lot of Tabasco :)
I think that's the key point.
I like to have it occasionally, and a 60 ml bottle would easily last me a year.
That's not comparing like for like. How much are their 60mls?
@sutiive: Don't think they have 60mL, it's Costco after all (huge sizes aplenty)
Thanks OP. Great price to stock up. I discovered that this stuff takes 5 years to make.
On their bottle it says 'aged for up to 3 years' so definitely less than 3 years to make. Plus maybe ~1 month for the chilli to grow. Great sauce though.
:) Depends on the variety. https://www.today.com/food/tabasco-turns-150-here-are-10-fun… The reserve edition is aged 8 years and the diamond reserve edition is aged 15 years.
Woolworths sells Castina, which is really good 👌
Anyone tried the Habanero sauce?
