That's the thing with these sit stand desks, they go up and down all the time.

      • +1

        Take my upvote!

      • +2

Best comment ever! (Okay, not 'ever', but surely in a long time!!)!

        • +1

Hahaha thanks mate. Certainly one of the best 'clean' traditional style jokes I've thought of in a while. Feel free to reuse as you see fit!

    • I've been really wanting to get one of these sit-stand desk lately but have been hesitant since most of the ones I've seen are supre expensive. Just wondering though, do you find yourself switching the height that often?

      • +5

The thing I dig is setting it to about medium height when I’m just in and out of my office for reachability. I’m 6’3 and wish my kitchen bench tops were adjustable now.

        • +2

Oh my godddd. I wish kitchen benchtops were higher! I'm not even as tall as you, just over 6ft, but living in older houses I get back pain from food prep. It sucks!

          • @[Deactivated]: Still consider your height fortunate, there are a lot of guys who would wish for that..and the size of your feet…

            • +3

@chyawala: Feet photos $5 cash. No refunds.

              • @pmld: At that height could be guaranteeing satisfaction.

        • +2

I’m 5 ft female, I have the opposite problem. I get sore arms from stirring things on the stove. I have a set of steps I use to get anything out of the top of my cupboards or pantry. Supermarkets can be a PITA. The plus side is I fit in any bed larger than a cot. However, aeroplane seats are still terrible.

      • I've been playing with mine ever since I set it up.

I adjust it a little bit everyday, maybe once or twice when I feel I'm hunching over too much so I bring it up to stand.

But over the course of a week it usually stays in the lowest position.

        • Yeah my table is right at 72cm height and I'm about 5'10" (178), I would just like to be able to stand from time to time instead of sitting. Though I'm worried of buying it and the novelty wearing off.

    • How sturdy would you say it is when raised at standing desk height

    • Is this a good desk? Give us a review…

      • I have a slightly different top and a control board, but the Artiss frames are well built - proper dual motors and none of that cheap single-motor-with-a-drive-shaft-to-the-other-leg nonsense.

Incredibly stable and easy to put together, just make sure you have a drill / motorised phillips screwdriver to affix the self-drilling screws into the tabletop.

  • +2

The advantage of this one is it doesn’t have a bar across the Botton to get in the way of your feet.

  • Do they offer a bigger version? Would love something around 1.8m at least but the Omnidesks are pretty expensive

    • see below someone gave
      https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Artiss-Electric-Height-Adjustabl…
it says you can put your own up to 1800cm

      • +8

        1800cm

Cheers, ordered one. The lift at my unit is always out of order.

        • sorry typo. the 1800cm ones will be 2expensive for you :)

      • I'm also looking for the 1800cm version, but I cant see it on the link you posted. I can only see 1200 or 1400 options in the dropdown. Am I missing something?

        • +1

Compatible with 120cm to 180cm length and 60cm to 80cm width desktops

You would have to supply your own top. Doesn't look like this listing allows you to purchase without a top but it is possible

I bought from here, it is the Artiss Roskos, even though it doesn't mention it on the website.

Got a kitchen countertop from Ikea to put on top. Fantastic desk, highly recommend.

  • I bought one of these off eBay, but it was something like 1.5m/1.8m long. The table top came trashed, got a new one sent, and the same thing.

I just dealt with it, they are cheap table tops, but the legs and motors are awesome. Easy enough to replace the table top with something from Ikea or Bunnings. Worth every cent IMHO.

No memory buttons is a killer.

  • I got the AIMEZO dual motor legs that I paid $410 for, can recommend.

    40cm a second, 135kg max, dual motor.

Only thing missing is collision detection.

  • Was about to buy an omnidesk but the ozbargainer in me likes the look of this.

Would prefer longer if possible, height memory a bonus. I'll have a browse now but if anyone has links please feel free to drop them below!

  • I need 1600mm one…still waiting for a good deal on ebay. If I can't find any by tmr, I will go with below.

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/579702

    • keep the legs, swap the table top with a $60 ikea one https://www.ikea.com/au/en/p/skarsta-table-top-beige-1045856…
      still works out cheaper

      • Particle- and fibreboard with honeycomb paper filling (100% recycled paper), Acrylic paint, Plastic edging

How well does that handle the frame being screwed in?

        • i wouldn't

      • If I buy separately then I'll go with the Amazon legs and Ikea top - thanks for the top suggestion.

I will use the free monitor mount from my link ^^

They are both dual motor and enough warranty period.

  • wish they had 1.6m..1.4 is a bit too small for dual monitor set-up. good price though

  • great price, oak is sold out though

  • +2

Anyone know how this compares with Ikea Bekant and Idasen? Are those more sturdy than this one?

I found in ikea the Idasen is much more sturdy than the Bekant, but has a price tag to follow.

    • Yeah, I'm asking the same question

    • Interested to know this as well. I prefer the 80cmx120cm Ikea bekant type setup, so is the shorter 70cm table-top on this THAT much of a difference?

  • How many motor build into this table? Anyone know the detail?

I can't find the detail in ebay page. :(

    • It's single motor, but if you want dual it has been posted in the comments above

    • Single motor.

Dual motor version w/ height memory is available for $380/$390, was posted above - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Artiss-Electric-Height-Adjustabl…

    • +2

Whats the benefit of two motors other than speed and max movable weight?

      • +2

I think you just listed the benefits.

      • Saved height

      • +1

the dual motor in the link of this thread, has another benefit: can go lower. useful if you have short legs

  • +1

    Bought, thanks OP!

    • Bought (140cm), thanks OP!

  • +2

How does this compare to Ikea's own height adjustable desk: https://www.ikea.com/au/en/p/bekant-desk-sit-stand-white-s39… in terms of quality?

  • +2

Is the 1 year warranty concerning?

  • +1

How is it compare to officework's https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/matrix-exe…?
it comes with 5 years electric warranty and 8 years desk

    • +2

Officeworks one has memory and also 70cm wide for the top which is better.

    • Check the heght range on the OW one, I beleive it was only 105cm, whereas this is 122cm.

      • yes, you are right. It is only 1015mm max bummer :(

  • +1

Was looking for table, got one!
    thanks OP!

Edit: Canceled the single motor and ordered the dual motor

  • Delivery is $72.56 to the Sunshine Coast, that's a PITA.

  • +1

does the bottom legs unscrew so i can put castor wheels into it?

    • I was also wondering about this, I saw in another thread that 72cm base height is too high to put in castor wheels for most people.

  • Thanks OP! Canceled my Omnidesk order and ordered this one for almost half the price. Good deal.

  • For those who want a larger desk, this deal is still going
Dual Motorised Height Adjustable Desk Frame with Cable Management Rack $339 + $14.95 Shipping (68% off RRP $1078) @ Groupon
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/578245
Although, it seems to be $369 + delivery now, and you have to supply your own top

    • plus people complaining they get different model………

      • i must've been lucky, ordered Model 4, got this
        https://artiss.com.au/collections/sit-stand-desk/products/ar…

        • yeah that is the model that people complaining as not the same as the picture listed on groupon.
something to do with the lifting capacity and the legs less part etc

thats what i understand, could be wrong?

      • ahhh, I see, the specs are slightly different to those advertised.

specs from Artiss say compatible for desktops 120cm to 180cm whereas Groupon says 120cm to 200cm

I put a 180cm desktop on mine, so not a worry for me, but could be a problem for others (i don't think it's a big issue anyway, as long as you mount the frame in the centre, there should be no discernable difference)

        • comparing the cost and time to get own top, if both are the same brand (i think so but who know all this millions chinese brands)
then i prefer get from ebay but yeah 140cm hmmm.. you get the point there

          • @CyberMurning: the white 150cm from omnidesk is out of stock so i ended up getting the 140cm from OPs deal. for almost $400 of savings ($750 vs $390), it was an easy decision for me. and also agree on your point about the hassle of getting own top (and potentially having to do some drill work).

        • @S7iCkSt3R also the max height of what was sent, compared to what advertised is less….118cm vs 122cm from memory.

  • +1

What are people using as a cable management box?

  • Dual motor version is really tempting but concerned about the 1 year warranty. Does anyone know if the motors are easily replaceable?

  • Thank you, OP. Bought two for the new house.

  • Is there a smaller version of this, say 90 cms wide table top?

  • damn wish it would go lower then 70cm

    • Most standard table are 70-72cm. How low do you usually have your tables? Just curious

      • +1

I also looking for less than 70, I'm 165cm in height.

      • Ahh i want to add castor wheels to it which will prop it up a few cms and the ones at wors I sometimes do i adjust a few cm lower than 69cm but you are right most tables normally are around 70cm

    • The dual motor model says 69 (or 62 can't remember)

      • If you're looking for less than 70, I wouldn't go for either of these to be honest. Cause once you add the tabletop on, it'll still be around 71-74cm at the minimum. My current table is 72cm and its just about right for me sitting down, but I'm 178cm.

  • TY got one

  • It says shipping is $33 and $41 for the dual motor. Did it change or is it because I don't have Plus?

  • I know it's a desk, but heck at the postage :/ all this ebay plus and getting whacked by postage sucks

  • Is shipping free if you're a Ebay plus member? I've noticed OP doesn't include shipping.

    • mine is free postage - the item is located in MEL > MEL

      • So there's no free shipping, it is simply calculated based on location? I'm in QLD and the shipping to my house is 38 but I another QLDer from Sunshine Coast got 72.

      • Mine is free too and I don't have ebay plus.

  • I bought one of these desks a while ago and everything about it was fine EXCEPT that it wouldn't go low enough to sit comfortably at. The minimum height is just a bit too high. Make sure you check the height you want the tabletop at before buying.

    • How tall are you in CMs?

    • The lowest from all of desk is 62cm. Never seen sit stand desk that can go lower than that. How low you wish to have?
