a while ago, we took all our flat sheets to the tailor and got them turned into fitted sheets. THey don't fit as well as a proper fitted sheet, but its good enough
Buy some bed “suspenders” cheap fix and keeps the sheets smooth and in place.
I have a bunch because my kids somehow manage to unwedge their sheets from their beds all the time, and end up sleeping in some nest like situation.
