Basically an extra palace + an extra semester.
So I clocked persona 5 at 115hrs, I clocked the royal at 142hrs. I took my time with the new content, and some of the other social links I skipped in the base game.
IMO, the new content is well worth the price of entry. It's masterfully implemented, is stylish and slick as hell and adds to the world thoroughly. Plus the new music is some of the best in the series
P5 took me 99 hr
P5R took me 152 hours
dunno why, I even skipped a lot of the friendship dialogues, probably cuz I grinded more money and spent a bit more time on the Palaces
Do you own this game? If not, buy it. It's that good.
Eh it isn't that great in my opinion. I put 15 hours into it recently and tried so hard to enjoy it but it is just super repetitive and boring. The story had me wanting to know more but the stale gameplay wasn't decent enough to slog through to experience the story.
Yeah it can get repetitive at times, that's why they made such awesome music, to keep you coming back for more.
Having said that I played 130hrs and wanted more, so never found the gameplay to be poor.
I'll probably have to buy it and give it a try at this price. Gameplay is personally more important to me than music, I enjoy game music but not enough that it'll make me continue playing a game I find repetitive.
We'll see how it goes though I guess. I have only heard good things besides repetitive gameplay afterall.

$44 second hand at ebgames for any that doesn't mind going that route. But otherwise great price
I paid $25 for the p5 last year and there are so many other games I want to play more at that price point even though I know it will be great.
I loved Persona 4 Golden on Steam so much, I want to get a PS4 just to play this. If only the PS4 would also go on sale.
