If you're splitting the deal with someone in the forum, how do you guys make sure the other person chip in their half? Or is it all based on trust?

    • how do you guys make sure the other person chip in their half?

meet them in person as simple as that; once you meet them, for hassle-free, payment must be made in cash.

  • If you are already a Kogan Mobile customer, simply login to your account and use your voucher to recharge. Each voucher can be redeemed for a LARGE 365 Days FLEX Plan without any additional charge.

well this is new; normally they don't allow this. this is the first time I see they are allowing these vouchers to be used as a recharge for their existing customer base.
    what a game changer!

  • So I currently have a 90 day plan which I purchased with Kogan that expires on 18/01/2021. I see these vouchers expire on 15/01/2021.. Can I cancel my current plan and get this? So much value with this plan!!

    • +3

i'm in the similar spot as you; i have 90 days Kogan prepaid plan which I've prepared for porting in Dec 2020.

so my plan of attack be:

      • still port in to Kogan in (say) 1/12/2020 so that I don't waste it.
      • recharge to 1 year plan on 14/01/2020.

i will only be using 44 out of 90 days but oh well, can't do much; nobody knows Kogan will release such a great Black Friday offer.

      • Ahh yep, think I'l go with that plan of attack too. Thanks mate!

I have a 250gb 365 day flex plan for renewal in early Dec. Have asked Kogan to refund that voucher as not yet used so that I can take advantage of this deal.

I have asked the kogan mobile team to deactivate the code before I can process the refund.

        That's the response so far.

        • right, so they can deactivate; thanks for this mate. I will try.

Activate it on the 15th and you will lose those 3 days but it should work fine! Been through that myself.

  • I've been using Kogan mobile for the past two years, I live in western metropolitan Melbourne and have had very minimal issues with the Vodafone network!

  • That's a good deal! My partner and I found Vodafone quite good where we live. Purchased a Boost prepaid 300GB deal a few weeks ago to recharge in January =(

If I can sell it in time I'll switch to Kogan Mobile. Classifieds here I come!

  • Someone is already selling a 486gb on eBay

      Fair price

should have done via Gumtree or FB Marketplace; wouldn't he be charged eBay fees?

      • I guess it most likely just an ad, expect the buyer to meet f2f (pickup) and then cancel the list

  • how do I switch my number over to this new sim card hypothetically (coming from Optus) ?

    • you start from here

  • How is kogan's(vodafone's) network reception in and around Sydney?

    • +2

I reckon it’s pretty good, better than Optus for the areas I frequent northern & south western Sydney

    • signal reception is good in and around Sydney; From the North to the South, From the East to the West, i have been there with Kogan Mobile.

  • Ridiculously good deal

For those that are currently with kogan, and going to Port out, and then port back in a month later,

Does this mean I have to buy a $2 sim from 7-11?

    • +1

don't need to port out, it's available for existing customers as a recharge voucher.

      • I didnt know that!
however in my case, I have few spare 1 month sims that I need to use so i'll be changing to a different carrier for a month and then back to Kogan

        • +1

Just make sure you activate this by 15/01/21

  • If I buy this now, can it be activated later before the expiry date if I'm an existing Kogan customer?

Edit: Nevermind. Found the details on the site.

  • Dumb question but can I transfer my existing Telstra number to this?

    • +2

yes, port over by activating an existing number when you activate on the kogan web site.

  • I'm a lil' slooooow, but does this mean if you spend $265 for two of these things, but the two Kogan annual accounts I currently have still have 6 months left to run, I'll have to blow them off and start using these two by 15th Jan, so essentially, I'll have got two cheap deals, but wasted 6 months of the current two? I.e. not useable in 6 months time once my current plans expire?

    • I think it's worse. You have to redeem both of them, and the credit they give lasts 365 days. Since you have to activate both at once, it'll only last you 12 months from that day.

  • Hi Guys i just bought, but not 100% sure if it is snail mail or via email? i bought their BOGOF a couple of years ago and from memory it was via email?

    Cheers.

    • +2

you get the voucher by email.
      the SIM is by post.

  • Can you stack both and get 2 years?

    • No

  • Does anyone know whether Kogan has visual voicemail?

Another legendary Kogan Mobile deal! Up there with the famous $4.90 40gb per 30 days deal.

Went halvies with a mate, good timing as my current plan is expiring Mid December.

  • Kogan mobile doesn't have the free Roaming (just to receive messages like Amaysim) unless I buy the Extra pack, right?

  • +1

Just recharged my 90 day Kogan plan with the XL voucher. Pleased to report that it's actually 500GB (512000.00MB) not 486GB.

  • So my understanding of this deal is you're paying, e.g., $265 for 2x250GB of credit, that must start before 15 January 2021, and will only last until 15 January 2022.

So effectively about $~20 per month for 40gb of data, with Vodafone coverage.

    • you would be correct if you were using both sims in a dual sim phone.
if you try to activate both vouchers on a single sim, latter will overwrite the former.

      • So the 2nd one is useless for 1 customer?

        • correct.
second one is for a friend or a family member.

  • I signed up to the referral $5 and tried to use this code as well. Since you can only use one, how do you only apply the $20 credit? It automatically applies the $5 credit.

    The following issue appears:
"Two or more of your credits cannot be used in conjunction with one-another. See your account credit page for more details."
