Good price but will they arrive, or will you find pet food in the packaging instead?

    • :D

      • +1

Seems like people miss the joke UK Amazon delivered Pet food, Air fryer, Nerf Gun etc. instead of PS5.

Also serious concern is many of the Prime Day One Plus 8 did not arrive at all.

        • Yeah I got the joke. Some people havent heard the news by the looks of it :D Thanks for the laugh.

I'd get this, but now you've scared me into not receiving it at all.

          • @Trishool: There are people who got it though, and the worst is waiting for a month then refund.

Unfortunately with the increase of COVID in Europe delays is pretty much expected.

  • This seems like a step up from my samsung galaxy note 9!

    • Note 9 was a great phone.

  • Is this definitely 2 yrs AU warranty?

  • Wow, very tempting, this one or Pixel 5 with camera function?

    • I'm debating the same thing, just cant make up my mind.

    • +1

I'd vote this one, it's a much better phone for around $50-60 less (as I believe the Pixel 5 will be $749 on special soon).

Could always download a Gcam port for this if you really wanted.

      • Sounds good but will night shoot results come out as Pixel?

        • It should, yes.

I think with the Pixel 5 they were aiming to do night sight, but without swapping to a dedicated mode for it?

Either way, if you download Gcam then you'll get very similar results.

I've been using it on my phone and get some great night sight shots.

    • The camera function might be better on the Pixel but the calculator function is certainly better on the OnePlus

      also Pixel 5 doesn't have 5G

      • It does. They should have renamed it Pixel 5 5G. I get around 550Mbs on mine

        • you learn something new every day

    • One thing that isn't stated enough about the Pixel 5 is how bad the speaker is. It's terrible.

  • How can I check if this will work with Canadian and New Zealand telcos?

  • How much is the pro

    • It's still around $1100 for UK iN2023 version.

  • How does it compare to this deal? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/576058

IMHO, I hate phones with bloatware, Oneplus gives stock android experience.

    • Mi 10T is $577 from tobydeals with CART3 coupon, is probably what I'd go for over an OP8, especially given the active custom ROM activities on xiaomi.eu which somewhat negate the usual drawbacks with buying heavily skinned android phones.

But $676 for a solid phone with a snapdragon 865 and clean software is not to be sneezed at here.

    • The Mi 10T doesn't support N28 bands. I think it's a China version flashed with the Global ROM.

Worth noting this is the dual sim variant and likely wont come with an AU charger. Here are some specs:

    • 6.55 inches, Fluid AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors, 1080 x 2400 pixels, Corning Gorilla Glass 5
    • Water and dust resistant
    • 4300mAh battery and Warp Charge 30T, gives you a day’s power in half an hour
    • Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by)
    • 128GB Storage, No Card slot
    • 8GB RAM
    • Android 10.0; Oxygen OS 10.0
    • Qualcomm SM8250 Snapdragon 865 (7 nm+), Octa-core (1x2.84 GHz Kryo 585 & 3x2.42 GHz Kryo 585 & 4x1.8 GHz Kryo 585),
    • Adreno 650
    • Triple Primary Camera: 48 MP, f/1.8, 25mm (wide), 16 MP, f/2.2, 13mm (ultrawide), 2 MP, f/2.4, (macro) Dual-LED flash, HDR, panorama Video 2160p@30/60fps, - 1080p@30/60/240fps, Auto HDR, gyro-EIS Front Camera : 16 MP, f/2.0, (wide), Auto-HDR Video 1080p@30fps, gyro-EIS
    • Would a uk warp charge plug work with an AU adapter?

Took the plunge and bought it. Fingers crossed I receive it, and its a good phone.

    • Update: Cancelled my order, as the phone isn't properly water resistant. Can't stand the thought of spending another 3 years with a phone that doesn't have water resistance. So close.

  • Has anyone got the call recording working in Australia on Oxygen OS version of Android 10?

Worthy upgrade to my Pixel 2 XL? it's still going so well :(
(i think i answered my own question)

  • Comes up as $973 now. Did I miss it :(

    • damn I was contemplating this or what other deals might come up. I think I missed it too

      • Yeah, seems to have gone up overnight.. was contemplating also!

        • +2

Wait for black friday. Things could happen.

    • back now

Back in Stock $670 plus delivery

    • Looks like it's gone again :(

    • +1

It was briefly available Sunday morning but I was too slow (trying to buy discounted gift cards etc)

It came back last night for about 5 to 10 mins but I got an order in at that time!

Trying to not get excited until at least some sort of despatch notification happens…

  • How much and how much for delivery?

Buybuybox seem to have a similar deal, except you can get the 12/256GB model for $90 more ($765 delivered to Sydney, 12mth warranty, black, 12/256GB)..

I'd buybuybox a better deal? Or am I missing something?
