Yes, but you need to spend over $500 and you need to be a business member.
These cause fires… Google it
Edit: Only second gen.
https://www.productsafety.gov.au/recall/ring-llc-video-doorb…As long as you're not an idiot, then this thing won't catch on fire.
Only involves Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Generation), model number 5UM5E5 smart doorbell cameras.
I’m guessing still no HomeKit from them even in gen3?
Ring/Amazon requires all to be via their cloud servers.
Apple Homekit requires direct local connection.
So do not hold your breath! So much for ring’s empty promises huh
I have,
I regret,
If had known I would’ve used the Arlo ecosystem.
Can record on to a portable HDD.Rather than paying for BS subscription fees!
Check out a device called hoobs for ring HomeKit integration
Here’s a video of homebridge setup with ring integration into HomeKit
The video goes step by step from assembling a raspberry to installing homebridge and the specific ring plugin.
The Ring cameras are 25% off on Australian Amazon and the Ring Ebay Store too.
E.g.
Ring Floodlight Camera $289 instead of $379.
Ring Spotlight Camera $249 instead of $329.
Ring Indoor Cam $75 instead of $99.As another option…. I ended up buying the Orion wireless doorbell from Bunnings for $99. Also found you can buy an unbranded one in Kmart. Wireless with chime and app alerts
Still debating wether to be a member or not, deals are fairy regular on here…
Do they deliver?
