12 Month Subscription for $199 (Usually $300) @ Kayo Sports

110

Targeted deal via email.

Kayo Sports for $199, ends 17/12.

Similar to the Plus Rewards deal without the need for a subscription to their services; though not as cheap as the Telstra deal if you have access.

T&C will auto-renew at discounted price yearly if subscription remains.

Tried to Google and found this page, unsure if this is the exact promo as I'm not part of any AFL club but - https://help.kayosports.com.au/s/article/AFL-Annual-Subscrip…

It sounded like Boris when I read your comment.

  • Lol $15 p/m Telstra post paid

  • Does anyone know how the Telstra subscription works?

Im currently on Telstra postpaid and have a month or so to go on my contract - If i sign up to the 12 month Kayo subscription and then cancel my telstra post paid or move providers do i still have access to my telstra portal and then continue to just pay the $15 bill for kayo? Do i have to stay with Telstra the full 12 months or risk losing the Kayo subscription once i move providers?

  • I just got a txt from Kayo offering $219 !

    • Yep they dont want to offer it to me for $199 i guess. NO DEAL!

  • There's not much sports on from now until the start of the new year. So keep that in mind.

    • A-League and NBA are back in just over a month and the Cricket summer is about to kick off - im holding out for another month or so and then will hop back on again.

  • I signed up with Herald sun rewards for the same price - mostly to watch Footy and A-League

During Lockdown i was also thrashing the NBA

    Not worth it.

They didn't even show the AFL Grand Final live…

    • Because 7 have exclusive rights to it. Not Kayo's (or Fox's) choice.

Exactly, so not worth the money if you can't watch every AFL game…

        • Not sure I agree here. I am not an AFL person but with the NRL there are (in a normal year) 201 games a year and the only one you can't watch live on Kayo is the GF. That's still 200 games. Channel 9 only shows half that many games.
I have only just joined Kayo, was Fox subscriber until last week but that got too expensive - especially the $10/ mo charge to suspend the subscription during the off season. Definitely seems worth it compared to Foxtel.

Why suspend instead of cancel ?

            • @jv: It's always a pain to return the boxes, then call them out and get the boxes posted back out again.
It used to be $5/ mo, was willing to pay that but not $10. Not when I can get Kayo for $15/ mo with Telstra.
I used to watch a bit on Fox but the last 3 to 4 years only Sports and Sports shows. Might still go back to Fox if the delay in Kayo gets too annoying (like in group chats with Fox people during 'live' games).

Cancel just the Sports, not the Basic…

                • @jv: But then I'd end up paying $25/ mo for something I don't watch at all. With Netflix and Prime and Disney I never go to Fox anymore outside of the NRL.

It's not just the delay, often there is buffering or pixelation for really popular games.

                • @jv: Yeah if that gets annoying then I will have to go back to Fox!
Anyway my team ran second last, last year. Don't think I'll have a problem with them being in a popular game for a few years.

  • I got text today too, offered me 12 month basic for $239.

  • 23.99 and i'm in for a year…

  • Anyone have a spare code?

  • Hey all, does anyone know if I can sign up to Telstra just to get Kayo?
I’m currently with Optus, just curious as to whether I need a full fledged number etc with Telstra just to get Kayo

    • +1

you need a post paid number

      • Thanks. I signed up to Sportsbet and am gonna wait for them to send me a 3 month free offer
